Who's going to win the MSL Ohio this season and why? Also, who are the best players in the league this season?

Valley should win but I think Granville will want to have a say in that. Whitehall could be 3rd or last, it depends on who comes back and the work they put in. I think Heath and NC will be in the second tier and CA will be somewhat of a mystery because of the coaching situation and lots of graduated talent. Lakewood although I think they will be much improved should be fighting Bexley to stay out of the basement.

I am going with(as I already predicted)Granville over Valley(IF GRANVILLE IS HEALTHY GOING INTO THAT GAME)

I.M.O. if Garrett Varnau gets to drop back and stay in the pocket he could have a huge season, for Newark Catholic.

Heath should have another stat maker in Donyelle Simpson, who I think has a chance to have a monster year.

Granville if the receviers come through who provide their talented QB with a chance to put up PS3 like numbers.

Drew McAtor from Licking Valley if healthy all season will be over 1,000 yards and will see the endzone a lot.

NCFan, I agree with Verneau but I'm not sure he is the best qb on that team. He may get the nod because he is a senior but Crouch should be pushing him.

I like Hunter Gray at Lakewood but I hear rumors he is not playing.

I think Granville's qb could have a huge year too. I forget his name.

Let me start by saying this is not a post to be mean or to get anyone upset(I say this because of one of the big dogs over at Newark Catholic seems to take what I post to heart and lets it bothers him so much he said I needed to change my name on these boards)

Now back to the post.
I agree that G.V. might not be the best QB on the team and I will agree that Couch should be or will be pushing him.

I also think the Freshman QB(Who started as a 7th and 8th grader)might be the best QB in the system.

I heard that Grey was not playing and a family memeber told me another Lancer RB has a big problem with some bad stuff and he might not be playing either.

I think that either Granville or LV will win the league. I would give Granville a slight edge because of they return many skilled players on offense and also return most of their defense. They also have a much easier non-league schedule than Valley. They'll probably be healthier come week 5 as well. Valley plays up a division in two non-league games and Granville plays down a division in two non-league games. Though if Valley is still healthy after playing New Albany and Zanesville (both teams are D2 and predicted to make the playoffs btw) they could very well beat Granville.

I would expect to see a big year from LV rb McCartor, GV's qb Fraley,GV rbs Link and Lilly and GV wr Alderman. Simpson (Heath rb) might have a break out year depending on how good Heath's O-line is.

Valley 8-2 7-0
Granville 9-1 6-1
Newark Catholic 8-2 5-2
Heath 6-4 4-3
Whitehall 6-4 3-4
Academy 5-5 2-5
Lakewood 1-9 1-6
Bexley 3-7 0-7It's possible that NC could go 8-2 but, if I'm being fair and non-bias, I think that 7-3 or 6-4 is more likely. Don't get me wrong I think that 8-2 is possible but NC is really young and I don't think that NC will beat Granville or LV and I'm guessing that they'll probably lose at least one more. But the good news is that if NC makes the playoffs (they should get in at 7-3) then they should make a nice run. The bad news for them is that St. Henry moved down from d5 to d6 this year. Anyways, good luck to all of the area teams!

Is NC traveling to Jtown tonight for a passing scrimmage at 7?
