Whats going on in Upper Arlington, will the Bears make good on Coach Golden's promise to make it back to the playoffs or will it be another disappointing year in UA?

The Bears should be just fine.

Coach Pete Corey was selected for the 2012 Ohio HS Coaches Hall of Fame. Congrats Coach!

I guess it depends. Will the starting quaterback be decided by who's dad contributes the most money to field and stadium upgrades again or are they actually trying to field a competitive team?

Very tough non-conference schedule with trip to Tri-Valley followed by games against Springfield and a great old school central Ohio matchup vs. Gahanna. They can't take a week off with that schedule. Tri-Valley will be very tough. Springfield lost their two best players in DaPriest (to graduation) and Walker (to discipline), but they will still be talented. One thing in UA's favor in this match-up is that Springfield has been without an HC until very recently. This gives them late start and they will probably struggle early and peak late. This works in UA's favor as the Wildcats might be beatable early and then roll later in the season leading to a potential points bonanza for the Golden Bears. I think the Gahanna game will go a long way toward determining both teams fortunes. I don't think there is room for both in the R3 playoffs. The winner of this matchup will set themselves up nicely for a post-season run, unless they "step in it" the rest of the way. Gahanna is going to win some ballgames this year.

I think UA is spotted 4 in the central with CC, Westland, TW, and WKHS. The remaining 3 determine their fate. I don't think they have enough to knock off Davidson. I'd list them as favorites vs. Coffman and even money/slight dog vs. Darby.

I see 5-2 as probable in the Central. They need to go 2-1 in the non-conference games to finish 7-3 and get a playoff nod (Maybe they go 1-2 non-conference and 6-1 in the central). Either way, I'm banking on 7-3 if they remain healthy. Just my 2 cents.

...and the fact that Springfield opens with St. X won't hurt either. Could be a very slow start for Springfield.
