Heath showed a lot last season and did so with a bang.

The bad news for the Bulldogs is they see 17 seniors graduate and a total of 18 starters are gone from the 2010 team.

10 are gone from the offense and 8 from the defense.

The Bulldogs biggest lost as far as leadership and maybe even talent could be one of the fastester players in the county,Cole Benner. The talented QB could put a team on his shoulders(well in this case his legs)

SR-Derek Yahn, 5-11-170 is listed as the back up on the roster I am using, so I am gueessing he will get the first shot to replace Benner.

Jr-Donyelle Simpson 5-11-165- returns as a tailback and I think he could be the most exciting player in the county this season. He has speed to burn and has all the moves needed to play TB and he I.M.O.(WHICH MEANS NOTHING)Could be a force in the passing game.

SR-Even Fry-5-9-150 is a returning receiver, and the only returning starter(according to the roster I am using)Another receiver who is back is SR-Kyle Wiley-5-10-145. These two might be small but they will have enough speed to get open if the offensive line can give the QB time to throw.

Jr-Adam Hunt 6-0-213 was listed as a back up last season along with Sr-Chris Black 6-0-226 and sr-Dakota campbell6-0-245.This group I.M.O. will go a long way in determining how well this season goes for the offense.

The defense have a trio returning and they will all have to step up and lead. Those starters are Yahn,at MLB, Wiley and Fry, both of those guys will make up part of the secondary.

The Buldogs have several back ups backwho could make this group much better than some might think.

New to the Heath schedule is Martins Ferry, who is suppose to be as good as they are fast in 2011 and to make things a little harder for Heath this is a road game.

I think Heath may be better off offensively this year than they were last season. Cole Benner did it all last season and this season you have 2 good WRs in Frye and Willey and Simpson at TB. Yahn may not be able to make the plays on his feet that Benner could but his arm is just as good. The key to this team is the Offensive Line. If they can find some replacements for last years line they could be ok but if they can't then it could be a 5-5 season. In my opinion I think they go 7-3 or 8-2.

Johnstown, Granville, Newark Catholic, and Martins Ferry are the key games. If Heath can go at least 2-2 in those games they could find themselves in the playoffs again. It will be tough though because a lot of the tough games will be played on the road.

If they stay healthy I think Heath goes 5-5 or 6-4. I don't think that they'll be good enough to beat Johnstown, LV, Granville, or Martins Ferry. They've just lost too much talent.

I think Heath will be better than what most expect but average on the season because of a tough schedule

I think Heath will be better than what most expect but average on the season because of a tough scheduleI do give Heath credit for a playing a decent schedule. At least they play teams in the same division as them in the non-league portion of their schedule. Granville plays down 2 out of 3 of their non-league scheduled opponents. I guess you could say that they're padding their schedule so that they can keep making it back to the playoffs. Sad...

Well a few years ago Heath would go 8-2 or 7-3 and not make it in because of their non league scheduling. Millersport was just killing us going 0-10 every year.

I think Martins Ferry is a very good pick up and will be a good gauge on where we are in Region 15. I wish we would pick up Fredricktown or maybe even Licking Heights instead of an out of area team.

Playing down isn't the best way to make the playoffs. You have to beat really good lower division teams to score points.
