The Hornets went 7-3 overall in 2010 but failed to make the playoffs.

They lose four starters on offense and seven on defense from the 2010 team.

Offense will see senior David Cooper come back at QB as well as two thers listed as Qb's, in Darius Strickland and Taylor Curtis, both will be Juniors.

The telented Matt Nichols(SR) is back as a runningback and if he has matured both on and off of the field he could be a force, if not the Hornets should be able to find a player who can provide a spark carring the ball.

A.J.Mitchell(JR) is another RB returning (JR) Josh Ausberry is another back who returns.

Tightend Ronnie Dawson(JR) is back

The O-Line has two players listed as starters returning,Zach Dunbrack(SR) along with Alex Mulcahy(SR)

The defense will need to find four new lineman according to the preview I have from last season, if the Hornets can find those lineman the defense should be pretty good.

Linebacker could be the strength on this side of the ball with two starters back,Ronnie Dawson(JR) and Zach Dunbrack(SR). (JR) Josh Ausberry was a back up last season so maybe he will claim one of the open slots.

The secondary should be strong with two starters returning Jeff Smith(SR) and David Cooper(SR)

New to the schedule will be GALLIA ACADEMY,who missed the playoffs last season, after going 7-3.They are a D-3 school.

I don't know rather to say congrats on the jump up to D-2 or not just yet?

Sounds like on offense LH won't be too bad.
The qb in last years game threw a few balls high that would of been
home run balls but another year experience he should do better.
He could run the ball pretty well if I can remember right.
The backs did a good job as well but I think the strength of the team was the O and D-line's.
The LB's did a good job on their reads against us anyways and were pretty quick.
With 7 returning on the offense on a D-2 team they should find a way to rebuild the defense and win.
As big as that area is growing, on the next realignment by OHSAA, LH should be a D-1 by then.

Good luck to the Hornets this season!
