Minster (7-6, D-VI R24 Regional Finalist)
* Players to Watch – WR/LB Daniel Gusching (6-2, 210, sr.), WR/DB Derek Collins (6-1, 165, sr.), OL/DL Clay Bornhorst (6-1, 235, sr.), OL/DL Ryan Will (6-2, 220, sr.), WR/DB Andrew Knapke (6'1", 170, sr.), TE/DL Rob Wente (6'2", 230, sr.), OL/DL Eddie Bruns (5'10", 210, sr.), WR/DB Devon Poeppleman (6'0", 190, jr.), RB/LB Troy Kauffman (5'10", 170, jr.), QB/DB Adam Niemeyer (6'2", 180, jr.), OL/DL Wes Hegemann (6'2", 220, so.)
* Outlook – There wasn’t a more shocking turnaround in Ohio last year than the one Minster had. The Wildcats went from 1-9 (in 2009) to the regional final (lost to Lehman Catholic). This year Mister, which won the MAC’s first football state title ever in 1989, will try to make consecutive playoff appearances for the first time since going six straight seasons from 1987-1992. Second year head coach Nate Moore welcomes back seven starters on offense and three on defense but the talent is there. Keep an eye on Niemeyer. Gusching was honorable mention All-MAC last year on offense and defense.
