Canal Winchester (9-2, D-II R7 Quarterfinalist)

* Players to Watch – RB Antonio Whitfield (5-7, 160, sr.)
* Outlook – The Indians have a new head coach in Shawn Hinkle who replaces Phil Mauro (a casualty of the district’s most recent failed levy who went to Trenton Edgewood). Under Mauro (and with Hinkle serving as an assistant), the Indians have gone to four straight postseasons. Whitfield will log a number of touches (31 carries, 295 yards and six TDs last year).

So far the QB is Alex Fox, a senior. Tall and lanky with decent speed
Is Whitfield really 160#. He looks more like 150 maybe even a shade under

Canal scrimmaged Newark tonight, they looked good. The qb is Fox, he did well, had some good runs and was crisp with this throws. No. 47, Franklin also looked good, ran hard. Should be a good season
