Oops!..you are right. Centerburg has some good teams..but maybe not that good. I was going to have Northridge open with Millersport..I will adjust...the schedule..this fantasy AD stuff is tough

I was basing the schedules on several different ideas that have been expressed on the boards.

1. That the MSL "powers that be" will discourage scheduling of member schools with the LCL schools that were former MSL memebers. So I gave Millersport games with the LCL because they aren't exactly the pride of the MSL and Whitehall and Bexley could play Watkins because Watkins has no history with the MSL.

2. That Danville, East Knox, and Loudonville will not have a league by the 2013 season and will be scheduling as independents and will be looking for teams to play weeks 4 through 10 and that the former MBC schools will oblidge them whenever possible.

3. I tried to base schedules on the 2011 schedules since they would reflect this years home and away schedules and that I really don't know what out of conference schools that would be available to schedule.

4. I tried to schedule non-league games that would require as little travel expense as possible, unless the school had been scheduled in 2011.

5. I was just having fun this afternoon looking at possible schedules for the larger and smaller member schools.

Fun stuff and some good schedules...

one comment I'd have is I wouldn't count the cross over game in the standings but other than that it's great!

I'd like to see NC avoid HP at least until they figure out what's going on there... and I'd love to see them pick up Grove City Christian or Fairfield Christian... but that's just a detail

key thing looking at what you have come up with is how you have great county games but still give a lot of flexibility to schools in various stages of succes... Northridge's schedule is a great example of that... as is Watkins and LV

Well, I think our minds must work in similar ways Buckeyedan (very scary for you!) I agree..I don't think the crossover games should count but should be mandatory scheduling. Also, when I saw Newark Catholic had scheduled Harvest Prep I thought, man, thats not good, but I was trying to stick with what they already had scheduled as much as I could. Because I am not privy to what the AD's are thinking or who doesn't get along with whom, etc.. I was thinking at the time, I should substitute Columbus Academy or Grove City Christian in that opening game. Also, I don't think that Licking Heights will be traveling back and forth to Gallipolis in a year to year series for very long. I see them scheduling Whitehall or Bexley in that opening slot. I am wondering why they dont do that now...

Yea, I'd actually like to see our schedule be something like this:

Week 1: @ Reynoldsburg
Week 2: vs. Bexley
Week 3: vs. Walnut Ridge
Week 4: vs. Lakewood
Week 5: @ Johnstown (Crossover)
Week 6: @ Granville
Week 7: vs. Licking Valley
Week 8: @ Newark Catholic (Crossover)
Week 9: vs. Utica (Crossover)
Week 10: vs. Watkins Memorial

I think once we join the League that we need to make the Watkins/LH game Week 10 every year...its becoming a very good rivalry.

I was counting the crossover as a league game that counted because I was following the East Central Ohio League ....10 school/2 division model! I really think that the rivalries will grow to be so intense that no one will notice......!

I think the big rivalry games the last week of the year would br great. I know Heath and Lakewood would be packed no matter what their records are.

Yeah, the mvl has the sheridan-New lex game at end and in the old col newark and zanesville are week 10. massillon vs mckinley in the federal league. i guess we rotate the rest of the league schedule like we do now.

Yea, or maybe we have a "rivalry of the week" kinda deal. Weeks 4-10 feature a different rivalry in the LCL that rotate from week to week and year to year. That would kinda be cool. I could definitely see the Advocate getting involved and promoting it in conjunction with the LCL. Either way, all schools in the new LCL should see better revenue than they did in their former conferences.

at least until halftime! lol

the rivalry game week 10 is interesting... what would they be?

Heath/Lakewood
LV/Granville
LH/Watkins
Johnstown/Northridge
Utica/NC

(put Utica/NC there not so much because of rivalry but because the other 4 games were natural rivalry games IMHO)

Yea, or maybe we have a "rivalry of the week" kinda deal.

that's interesting too as it would allow for people to go to that game each week
and of cousre the one drawback to a week 10 is the later in the year the riskier the weather... but who knows

I think you still have "big" games every week... but i like the idea of a week 10 rivalry game as it gives struggling teams something at the end to shoot for

Yes, until our band is finished, actually Lakewood has great attendance for a team who has only won 1 game in 3 years. At least at home.

The OCC went with Rivalary games in week 10 when they went to the current schedule... Lancaster/Newark, Pickerington Central/Reynoldsburg, Darby/Davidson, UA/Coffman, the Worthingtons, etc.
