Pickerington Central (11-1, D-I R3 Semifinalist)

* Players to Watch – QB Nick Jensen-Clagg (6-1, 180, sr.), OL/DL Jacoby Boren (67-3, 275, sr.), WR/DB Roger Lewis (6-2, 190, sr.), RB/LB Jake Kincaid (6-1, 230, sr.), WR/K Jake Raymond (5-9, 170, sr.), RB/DB Billy Eakins (5-10, 180, sr.), OL/DL Nick Wilson (6-3, 280, sr.), OL/DL Adam Cole (6-3, 290, sr.), DB Sebastian Smith (6-3, 185, sr.), DE Taco Charlton (6-6, 240, jr.)

* Outlook – The Tigers lost 28 seniors off of last year’s team, but head coach Jay Sharrett (83-15 in eight years) returns plenty of talent. Pick Central has made the playoffs 10 of the last 12 years and is arguably Central Ohio’s top squad this season. Boren is an Ohio State commit, Lewis owns offers from nine MAC schools, Smith (60 tackles, two INTs) has an Indiana offer and Charlton – despite being an underclassmen – already has Cincinnati and Purdue offers.

May be tough to find a uniform for Boren at 67 feet tall. ;-)

OL/DL Jacoby Boren (67-3, 275, sr.),

Sorry Eric but it made me look twice.....

I think Central will be great again as always. I love that they are playing top notch Ohio talent the first two games of the year. That will be a great early test for the Tigers.

PC's Qb's, Rb's, Db's, WR's are always solid. I don't think many other teams will have the same depth at these positions. There are probably a handful of sophmores that will be working into this rotation for these spots.

The linebacking core will be insane this year. (Hopefully healthy too) I don't think there will be many teams that have the talented linebacking core with Basylaga on the "trigger."

The depth goes a little different for the OL and DL. I think there is some ironman ball that's going to happen with Cole and Boren. I'm kind of curious.

We're only a few weeks away from another fierce schedule. Win or lose, it's the most gutsy schedule in R3. I'm proud of that. PC will have to earn their stripes once again. Hopefully, PC will get some vengence on a HD team. (I think HD has become PC's playoff rival. I would love to see another playoff game with these two teams pounding it out.)

Go Tigers!

I think the D Line will be fine with depth. I am not sure that Cole will go to the O side but you can never tell. Boren is a given but you may see Wilson crossover to D line for some spot play as well. I only say that based on some of the recruiting info out there listing him as D line as well as O. The scrimmages will likely reveal much in this regard.

With the Central mantra of go fast and pull people, they may opt for Sr, Jr and So players who spent time on the O line in JV prior years to utilize their experience in the blocking schemes.

Go Tigers!!
