Fort Loramie (8-3, D-VI R24 Quarterfinalist)

* Players to Watch – LB/OL Caleb Ranly (6-1, 210, sr.); DB/WR Kyle Miracle (5-8, 140, sr.); LB/RB Brent Goldschmidt (6-1, 185, sr.); DB/RB Cory Brandewie (5-9, 165, sr.); DB/WR Jake Cordonnier (6-3, 180, sr.); QB Ryan Humphreys (n/a, sr.); LB/RB Logan McGee (6-0, 175, so.); DB/RB Tyler Zeis (5-8, 175, sr.); DB/RB Delaumte Thornton (5-8, 175, so.); LB/OL Josh Frilling (5-8, 195, sr.); OL/DL Ryan Alexander (6-0, 230, sr.); DE/OL Zach Brandewie (6-1, 200, so.)

* Outlook – The Redskins have turned the corner as a program and have reached the playoffs the last two years (losing to Marion Local both times). This year Loramie and third-year head coach Matt Burgbacher (18-6 record) should continue their ascent. Humphreys is a three-year starter who threw for 1,263 yards and 12 TDs last year. He’ll conduct an offense that returns five backs that gained at least 300 yards last season. Cory Brandewie is a dual threat out of the backfield (930 rushing yards, eight TDs, 519 receiving yards, six TDs), while Goldschmidt will share carries (517 rushing yards, 13 TDs). Defensively, Ranly (86 tackles, seven TFL) leads a seasoned unit that also includes Miracle (61 tackles, four INTs), Goldschmidt (53 tackles), Cory Brandewie (44 tackles) and Cordonnier (45 tackles).
