Hilliard Davidson (13-1, State Semifinalist)

* Players to Watch – RB Alex Mickley (5-9, 174, Sr.), RB Tyler Talbott (5-9, 163, Sr.), OL Jordan Weatherby (6-4, 270, Sr.), LB Jake Himmeger (6-0, 205, Sr.), DL Dylan Skaggs (5-9, 198, Sr.), DL Sam Coles (5-10, 192, Sr.), DB Jack Kincade (6-1, 171, Sr.), DB Chase Delande (5-10, 164Sr.)

* Outlook – The Wildcats have been the state’s top D-I program the last five years with two state titles, three regional championships and four regional finals. It’s highly likely Davidson makes another run this season. The Wildcats return five starters on defense and three on offense. Mickley (1,538 yards and 29 TDs) is one of Ohio’s top backs and returns after earning first team All-OCC honors. Himmeger was second team OCC. Head coach Brian White (117-32 in 12 years) knows “the target on the Wildcats back only grows bigger.”

Brian White's boys always seem to do well when they have a Senior DeLande on their team (state championships in '06 and '09). They'll still be good this year, but I think the streak will end with young Chase.

Davidson will be very solid and still be amongst the best in R3, but I don't think they'll have the horses to beat Pick Central this year. I know I said the same thing last year, but I think Coach Sharrett learned a lesson from last year's game and I also think PC's front 7 is just going to be too good this year.

The two d-linemen Davidson lost will be impossible to replace. Detmer was also a game changer as a kicker, especially with White's scheme, he will be missed sorely.

Watch for RB Jennings to compliment Mickley. They will form a 1-2 punch that will devistate the OCC Central.

Hilliard has Brian White as coach...end of discussion regarding their hopes for success this year or any year. The man can flat out coach and he wins.

I expect another strong year from Davidson. I think it will be a great race for that division crown with UA, Darby, and Coffman trying to dethrone Davidson. As good as Davidson has been with deep playoff runs they have only won the league title 2 of the last 5 years. Looks like it may be UA's turn in the rotation for this tough league.

10 Davidson
09 Coffman
08 UA
07 Coffman
06 Davidson
