(I thought I had done one of these for Granville)

The Blue Aces were beat up with injuries last season but still able to post a 7-3 reocrd.

They lost to a good Licking Valley team(35-3)I took this game in and after talking to some parents from Granville I learned that they had something like 7 starters out in this one.

Their others loses were to Johnstown and Heath.(I also took that game in)

Returning for G-Ville is their talented quarterback-David Fraley-The only question mark I have about him did he hit the weights as hard as he need to.He is listed at 5-11-165.

Zack Little(SR) is back at running back(5-10-150). Also back at RB is Josh Link(JR)5-7-150. Power might not be their game but they both have enough speed to cause any defense they will see problems and in the offense Granville runs you have to think both will catch their share of passes.

Granville returns three wide recievers (SR)Joey Comisford(6-0-160)
(SOPH)Ajay Alderman(5-10-160)I can see him having a huge season. The third receiver back is (JR)Clayton Plute (6-1-175)

Two off-lineman return Center-Devyn Steffeny(SR-5-10-210)
Left Guard-Sr-5-10-195. The Aces have several players on the roster who should help this unit be as good if not better than they were last season.

Defense returns three players in the secondary along with one lineman. The Aces have a lot of work to do here but I think this unit will shock everyone with how well they play.

Elliott Williams(sr-6-1-205) is the returning lineman and he will have to be the leader of this unit (I.M.O.) If they are to be as good as I think they will be.

There are two big lineman on the roster who will be Juniors this coming season.Caleb Sims (6-0255) and Mark Schenken(6-4-270) if either can work their way into the strating unit or even the rotation you have to think the line is going to be a lot stronger.

The secondary has three players returning.
Josh Link,Gabe Parini(JR-6-0-170)And Tommy Nichols(sr-6-3-190) This group should make it hard on any team wanting to throw the ball against them.

If the schedule is the same as last season opening night will be at home against Johnstown. This is a big chance for the Blue Aces to make a statement being they were beaten by J-Town,41-14 last season.

Good Luck Granville.

NCFan - where are you seeing these listings? Are these sizes and weights from some listing put out this year or last year? I know they haven't even taken heights or weights on the LV team yet.

I know the Granville players work out w/ Clint from TAD so they will be strong and fast.

Quite a few losses on D for the Blue Aces this year; Lahnam, Compton, Wilson, Gordon, Willis, Palmer plus some very solid back-ups. Size in the box could be a factor but speed is definitely there. They'll have to fly to the ball and gang tackle; DBs will be able to run with any receiver they face. Good luck Aces!

Parini and Nichols DNP last season; both out due to injury. It will be interesting to see how they respond this year.

Great game by both teams! Sophomore QB played well and the Johnnies run game was fantastic. Lots to work on by both teams! Go Johnnies!

Most look about right, though Plute is now 6-4 and 200+ I believe.
