*They just passed a levy and rumor has it they are already talking pay to play

The Lancers won just one game last season(Millersport 0-10)

The good news for the struggling Lancers is they lose only five seniors from last season.

On offense they have 8 players returning
On defense they have 10 returning.

Hunter Grey returns at tailback he was listed at 5-7-155 on the program I have. He could have a solid season if the experienced OFF LINE can improve their play and the new QB can take pressure off the running game with some sort of passing game. The new QB could be Tanner Taylor(5-9-155), the listed back up from last season.

The Lancers have two big players but neither started and they are not listed on the depth chart. (SR-Zach Sentivany 6-2-325 and SR TOMMY ELLIS-5-10-290)If either of these players can give the Lancers anything the line could be improved especially in the running game.

Trey Read(sr-6-1-175) listed as a starting W-Rec returns and a back up W-REC comes back SR-DONALD HOFFER 6-2-165) Nice size for REC'S at this level. If these two have put in the work needed the Lancers should have solid play from them.

With ten players back on DEF one has to think that this side of the ball will be improved. And it should be if they have put in the time needed in the weight room and they can play as a unit along with staying away from DUMB PENALTIES.

One thing the Lancers have to do is get the numbers up so they can build some much needed depth. Pay to play might kill this from happening only time will tell.

I haven't heard about pay to play. From talking to a coach I know we have better participation in the off season workouts this year.

That's great about better participation in the off season workouts.

I think it was in the Advocate about the pay for play.My sister told me about it. She has two kids in the system.

What is the Lancer's record since 2000?
They will need to return everybody every year to compete in the LCL.
The good news is that they will make money on their gates. Sweet-

Since 2000 they have won only 23 games.

Thanks for the information-do you think it's a good move for football to enter the LCL?

Not if they go to pay to play again.

Good move because they should be in the lower division... it will allow them to schedule more non-league games they could win.
Lakewood is moving toward DIV

I guess what I mean is you have a better chance at building your program when you play more games you have a chance to win each year. Lakewood is going 1-9/0-10 because they play tough games every week. If you cut league games down from 7 to 4 you have more opportunity to schedule winnable games or if you think you are a playoff contender play some teams in your region that will help you get playoff ready. You have more control over your schedule.

I did not realize there will only be four league games.
Thanks for the info.
Developing their own schedule will allow them to win. That makes sense-

After reading further into the forum someone suggested that there might be more than 4 league games due to a few cross-over games, but you wouldn't play everyone in the league... still some logistics to work out, but two separate divisions makes much more sense to me (for football anyway)
