The biddy program seems to be getting stronger every year. I see a lot of them doing well at the youth tournaments. Are the middle school and high school teams strong?

We do have some good kids at all levels we had 5 freshman DQ's and 1 HS and 1 middle school state placer I have helped run the youth team since these freshman were in about 3rd grade I do hope HT can get a coach that will be here for a long time I love these boys and want the best for them.

No suprise. AD didn't provide any support for prior coach either.

I also coached these kids for over 12 years...I was coaching them when they didn't have a youth team at HT. Many of those kids have long ago graduated. One of those wrestlers is now a senior another an eighth grader.
Like Bribacker said, "I love these boys and want the best for them."
Best wishes. I am as happy for you all, as you are. Thanks for, 'getting it.'
Fare thee well.

The coach that just 'stepped down' was his son. Plenty of support there!

Possibly an eye opening experience? Hopefully they can successfully move forward.

It sounds like the AD and board need to stop letting the parents persuade them and stop giving the kids what they want . Hammond, O'Riley and Hackett would be a dream staff if the kids and parents let the coaches coach. And I know Mickey had high hopes for my son next year as a freshman and I wish him the best

A lot of tough kids, and good parents at Hamilton. With the right Coach they can have success fast.

They need some one that the parents and wrestlers will respect. That will demand a high level of character from the kids and the program. You need someone who is willing to take charge and have the confidence to lead with out being concerned about what everyone thinks. You do have to have a good relationship with parents and staff but that comes from being a good leader and thats what a head coach has to have. This coach is going to have to get the kids to buy in so they will stay out of trouble because they want to be part of the team. Just some thoughts. I hope they get a good one because they have are some good kids there. I would only take someone with a proven high school record.
