Wow, I just looked at the new league set ups and that Three Rivers Athletic Conference is one very tough League. Essentially, there are no weeks off in football and you'd better be ready to compete or it won't just be a loss. It could be a massacre!

I was also happy to reaffirm in my own mind that although Lakota and Gibsonburg are gone, the spirit of the old Suburban Lakes League is being continued in the newly formed Northern Buckeye Conference. Lakota and Gibsonburg are being replaced by Fostoria and Rossford, with Napoleon taking Rossford's spot in the Northern Lakes League. I would say that these are two very nice leagues.

Now, if we can just get the Toledo City League running smoothly and continue to provide a full measure of athletic opportunity for those kids, I would say that league organization appears strong and viable in NW Ohio.

Fostoria St. Wendelin is no longer a football-only member of the Northwest Central Conference, and I'm guessing they'll be an independent for that sport in 2011.
