Heard that as well. Might be in Indiana if not Ill.
He's a beast on the mat. That's a big loss for Cent Oh wrestling.

Purplegrad what about Lyberger?

Sorry I missed Joe Lyberger. He was injured last year in his first match with a dislocated elbow. Now he has been injured in a recent football game with a dislocated shoulder. Not sure of his status at this time but I can't see him being out for a long period of time.

Joe Lyberger should be fine. He may even play this weekend. From what i understand no muscle damage just had a shoulder pop out. If he decides to rest it he has a good 6-8 weeks for it to heal and he should still be able to do most conditioning drills.

I think year after this the Stallions are going to be back on track with maybe 4-5 potential State Q's and 3-4 potential placers. If all stay healthy and focused.

TC - We need some heavier people to compliment the lighter weights who have some experience from last year. Do you have any names , schools , or weights on the 3 freshman ?

Do you have any names , schools , or weights on the 3 freshman ?From what i have heard 2 of them should fall between 125-140 depending on how much weight they gained this summer and the other who is a really good athlete should be around 189.

All 3 Wrestled eithier for the Little Stallions or for another Junior High Club Wrestling team for at least 2-3 years. The 189 took last year off to play basketball, but Wrestling is probably going to be his 2nd best sport in HS.

I have heard that Joe Lyberger may have a torn labrum. Not sure what the outcome will be since I think to repair that is a surgical procedure. I think he could wrestle as long as he can stand the pain. Wonder if he will play in the Watterson playoff game on Saturday ? Lee Wilson tore his late last wrestling season and eventually had surgery. Missed the rest of the season and didn't wrestle again until the middle of the summer. But he is healed and ready to go for this wrestling season. Should be one of the best 112/119 lbs. in the area this year.

Lee really has put in a lot of time at Mirons the last two years , he's looks pretty good. I agree he should have a great year. I saw another Desales wrestler at Mirons last week, not sure sure who it was maybe 152 or 160 ?

Right now I think Desales will need Ferguson , Wilson and Gutierezz to wrestle well early until the football players and new wrestlers get their feet under them. Probably will take until after the 1st of the year IMO to sort out weights and who will wrestle varsity.
