Ok so know all tough but which do you think are toughest and which easiest?

I guess we need to define "toughest weight"? I could see how you could look at it 2 different ways.....first, the toughest weight to finish top 4 and make the trip to the Schott (deepest weight with 8 or 9 legitimate contenders to advance) OR the toughest weight to win (weights that may not be as deep but have some real hammers at the top)

Toughest to get to the Schott.....112, 119, 285

Toughest to win....112, 135, 145

I guess we can agree to disagree.....2 weeks ago, 119 was being mentioned numerous places as the toughest bracket. Now Burkhart and Beane are not there, so of course things have eased a bit there. But you don't lose 2 kids and go from toughest to easiest....no way.....119 is still going to be a meat -grinder to get out and very tough.

My vote for "easiest" (and I use that term lightly....no such thing as easy now) would be 125.

on second thought they all will tough district. across board, maybe 60 and 71 not going to leave anyone but the winners will still do well at the schott.

I was only looking at the POSSIBILITIES.

Langdon and Bertubin are my picks also BUT as the last couple weeks have played out there is a real possibility that once one of them beat each other that the other could be upset or beat by Scherer, Warner or McComas, whoever drops down from the top.

I agree, anyone of those guys COULD qualify, if any of the top 6-7 112er's went 119 they WOULD quaify.
Not tring to take away from the 119's but the talent at 112 is awesome.
An example: Parsons could qualify and Scherer beat him, I seen 9-0 and 13-0 (unsure of the correct score).
Parsons has what 4 losses on the year? 2 of which I know came from two 112er's (Zack Cantrell and Brody Scherer).

MAT- Rachel is a young lady from Whitehall Yearling. Have watched here the past 2 years, and she has come a long ways. Great to see here make it out a DQ.

Man, Bertubin always has a strange first round draw. In 2008 he drew Dustin Carter 1st round at state and now he has to wrestle a girl the first round of districts. Talk about bad luck of having the the crowd against you.

If I remember right he lost to Carter, but some say he should have won.

McHugh has cut his teeth the last few years Wrestling aganist some of the best young Wrestlers coming up thru the Central District. He is legit.

He spent the last couple of years going aganist Lee Wilson, Artim Temachenko, The Mc Dougle Bros. , Jonathan Edwards, and quite a few others you will being hearing a lot about in the next few years out of the Central Ohio area D1 and D2.

Your right him and Artim Wrestled about 65-75 actual match last year and the Little Stallions team they were on took almost everyone to the woodshed. There was only 1-2 teams in the State that were close to them. They wrestled kids going to Graham, St. Ed's, Moller, Elder you name it and only lost a handful of times.

As Freshmen Wrestling D1 Schedules McHuges training partners went 96- 17 this year Temachenko and Drew McDougle are both Sectional Champs seeded 1-2 in their Regional Bracket. And Kasey is 32-7 and a number 2 Sectional placer and has a shot at moving on also this weekend. Just trying to inform ya on the quality of Wrestler he is.

Andrew is just a slow methotical type of wrestler, not real explosive. I wish he wrestled more like Rose or Daurghty or me for that mater. Really any of the other exceptional Cambridge lightweights Tank has coached in the past 10-12 years we were all very explosive, scored points in bunches and rarely had a close match. It just seems Andrew always has close matches

Maybe you're right, but that is a huge jump in size and strength....

112 could have been even tougher....DeSales freshman 112 (Lee Wilson), who was out due to injury, beat McHugh in the regular season....just think if there was one more hammer there!!

Smith laid him out with an "illegal slam" (it was definitely illegal, but did not seem to be intentional) which injured Peyton. The match stopped, the point was awarded, and Gutierrez was unable to continue. Big crowd reaction against, but I'm pretty sure Peyton was not allowed to continue due to a big bump on the head. He did not wrestle his finals match, but I believe he will be good to go on Thursday.
