Bucknuts & JJHuddle Ohio HS Weekly Awards

This winter we are pleased to announce that JJHuddle and Bucknuts have partnered together to again award weekly player and team of the week honors in ice hockey, boys & girls swimming, boys & girls bowling and wrestling.

Each week (regular and postseason) during the winter sports seasons, we will hold a fan-generated contest on JJHuddle to tab a weekly Team and Player of the Week in each sport. Each weekly winner will receive a personalized award from JJHuddle and Bucknuts.

How it works?
A thread soliciting nominations will be posted/stuck in each sports JJHuddle Forum each week. Fans will then nominate top performances. We will announce the weekly finalists (up to 10) on JJHuddle every Tuesday and voting will be conducted in a special JJHuddle forum. Voting will cease at noon on Monday, after which the winners will be announced.

WEEK 1 BOYS BOWLING ATHLETE OF THE WEEK NOMINEES

*Brandon Kennard, Wapakoneta (VOTE)
Rolled a 538 series in a match against Coldwater. Had games of 280 and 258.

*Jacob Yoder, Triway (VOTE)
Rolled a 501 series in a loss to Green. Had games of 258 and 243.

*Jacob Kittinger, North Canton Hoover (VOTE)
Rolled a 496 series in a win over Alliance. Had games of 250 and 246.

*Austin Travis, Anderson (VOTE)
Rolled a 300 game against Moeller.

*Brady Dunigan, Glen Este (VOTE)
Senior rolled a 499 series in a match against Elder. Rolled a 482 in a match against Mason.

WEEK 1 BOYS BOWLING TEAM OF THE WEEK NOMINEES

*North Canton Hoover (VOTE)
Had four bowlers roll series of 416 or better en route to scoring 3,064 pins in a win over Minerva. Also beat Alliance (with 2,965 pins) and Dover.

*Anderson (VOTE)
The Redskins opened the season 4-0 with wins over McNicholas, Moeller, Goshen and Milford.

*Lima Senior (VOTE)
The Spartans opened the season 3-0 with wins over Ansonia, New Bremen and Parkway.

*Lima Shawnee (VOTE)
The Indians opened the season 3-0 with wins over Fort Loramie, Ansonia and Van Wert. Knocked down 2,910 pins against VW.

*Green (VOTE)
Bulldogs knocked down 2,932 pins in a win over Triway. Also beat Canton Central Catholic and Perry to open 3-0.
