JJHuddle is proud to announce that the Ohio National Guard will again sponsor the ONG JJHuddle Player and Team of the Week awards in Football and Basketball during the 2014-2015 school year.

Each week during the football, boys basketball and girls basketball regular and postseasons, we will hold a fan-generated contest on JJHuddle to tab a weekly Ohio National Guard Ohio Team and Player of the Week. Each weekly winner will receive a personalized banner, certificate and bracelet from the National Guard and JJHuddle.

How it works?
A thread soliciting nominations will be posted in the JJHuddle Football Forums each week. Fans will then nominate top performances. We will announce the 10 weekly finalists on JJHuddle every Monday and voting will be conducted in a special JJHuddle forum. Voting will cease at noon on Friday, after which the winners will be announced.

Winners receive a personalized banner suitable for hanging from the Ohio National Guard.

Week 11 (Regional Quarterfinals) Nominees

Parker Carmichael, Triway (VOTE)
Senior QB entered the postseason having accounted for a Wayne County record 64 TDs and added six more in the Titans 35-7 D-IV win over Galion. Carmichael completed 26-of-42 passes for 454 yards and six TDs. He now ranks No. 3 all-time in Ohio High School history for career passing yards (11,611).

David Peoples, Beechcroft (VOTE)
RB ran for 312 yards and four TDs on 25 carries in a 39-20 D-IV win over Bexley.

Trae Williams, Athens (VOTE)
Senior RB and Ohio commit ran for 236 yards and five TDs in a 65-14 D-III win over Granville.

Marquise Blair, Wooster (VOTE)
Senior and Syracuse commit scored all five of the Generals TDs in a 35-21 D-II win over Hamilton Township. Blair caught five passes for 136 yards and two TDs, ran for 76 yards and two TDs and returned an INT for a TD.

Matt Lowery, Rocky River (VOTE)
Senior QB threw for 455 yards and five TDs and ran for two TDs in a 70-48 D-II loss to Toledo Central Catholic.

Jakob Prall, Tippecanoe (VOTE)
Junior scored on an 80-yard kickoff return, a 65-yard punt return and a 5-yard reception en route to going over 2,000 all-purpose yards for the season in a 42-8 win over CBC rival Kenton Ridge. Prall also pitched the ball to QB Zack Blair who scored on a rare double-handoff option.

Gus Dimmerling, Perrysburg (VOTE)
Senior QB ran for four TDs and 302 yards in a 56-7 D-II win over Massillon Washington. Dimmerling also threw for 112 yards and caught two passes for 21 yards.

Trent Hites and Kollin Stollar, Kenton (VOTE)
Pass-catch combo was unstoppable in a 49-14 win over Port Clinton in D-IV. Hites, a sophomore QB, completed 28-of-40 passes for 520 yards (tied for 23rd in state history) and six TDs, while Stollar, a senior WR, had eight catches for 242 yards five TDs (one shy of state record).

Dustin Crum, Grafton Midview (VOTE)
Sophomore QB threw for 322 yards and four TDs and rushed for 91 yards and two TDs in a 42-28 win over Walsh Jesuit in D-II.

Michael Warren, Toledo Central Catholic (VOTE)
RB ran for 276 yards and four TDs and returned a kickoff for a TD in a 70-48 win over Rocky River in D-II.

Week 11 (Regional Quarterfinals) Honor Roll

Anthony McFadden, Paint Valley
Junior DB had four interceptions in a 38-7 win over Tuscarawas Central Catholic. Also ran for two TDs and threw for another at QB.

Mason Galco, Lucas
Junior RB/LB carried the ball 35 times for 285 yards and three TDs and had the game-clinching INT with two minutes left in a 37-34 win over Plymouth in D-VII.

Alex Lando, Olentangy Liberty
Junior QB threw for five TDs and 181 yards (18-of-21) in a 49-21 win over Whitmer in D-I.

Austin Baker, Clyde
QB completed 15-of-28 passes for 368 yards and four TDs as the Fliers rallied from a 33-7 defeicit to score a 41-33 win over Mansfield Madison in D-III.

Nathan Densel, Dublin Scioto
Senior QB completed 17-of-22 passes for 305 yards and four TDs and ran for 96 yards in a 38-14 win over Teays Valley.

Ryan Maniaci, Marion Pleasant
QB threw for three TDs and ran for two more in a 49-28 win over Eastwood in D-V.

Ross Adolph, Van Buren
RB carried the ball 22 times for four TDs and 194 yards in a 49-39 win over Lima Central Catholic in D-VI.

Tyler Ruhl, Fredericktown
Scored four TDs and ran for 117 yards in a 49-6 D-V win over Belpre.

Ethan O’Connor, Lima Central Catholic
QB completed 25-of-40 passes for 371 yards and three TDs and ran for two more TDs in a 49-39 loss to Van Buren in D-VI.

Brandon Upton, West Liberty-Salem
Junior QB threw four TD passes in the Tigers D-VI win over previously unbeaten Cincinnati Country Day.

Devon Garcia, Bowling Green
QB threw three TD passes and ran for a TD in the Bobcats D-III win over Medina Buckeye.

Joe Pinney, Grandview Heights
RB ran for 222 yards and a TD on 21 carries in a D-VI win over Monroe Central.

Eddie Williamson, Lorain
QB threw for three TDs and ran for two more in a D-I loss to Mentor

    are we really going to bash teams and players? It’s known that some of the player have had sportsman conduct issues. On the blue and gold side. I can kinda see why. We should be a better example to our your athletes. I agree it would be nice to see Triway and Wooster play. Triway is a team that doesn’t talk we let out end result in the field speak louder than words. This comes from a woo 86-89 alum player.
