You voted, you decided…who had Ohio’s best team performance? The Week 9 competition for the Ohio National Guard JJHuddle Ohio HS Football Team Of the Week is over. And it was a GREAT one. Over 36,000 votes were cast and this week’s winner is…Teays Valley.
The Vikings will receive a personalized banner suitable for hanging, certificates and bracelets from the Ohio National Guard and JJHuddle.

Week 9 Winner
Under first year head coach Mark Weber, the Vikings earned the program’s first playoff berth in 15 years with a 41-0 win over Fairfield Union. With a win over Bloom-Carroll in Week 10, TV will earn a share of its first MSL championship in 10 years.
Week 1 Winner
The host Bulldogs beat rival Gallia Academy at home for the first time since 1987 with a convincing 52-0 win. Athens led 45-0 at half and scored TDs on their first right possesions. Senior QB Joe Burrows was 12-of-12 for 289 yards and four TDs. Senior RB Trae Williams ran for 143 yards and three TDs on nine carries.
Week 2 Winner
Norwalk St. Paul
The then-No. 14 Flyers ran for 463 yards and six TDs en route to beating No. 2 Tiffin Calvert 56-20. This came a week after St. Paul ran for 504 yards and seven TDs in a win over Sandusky St. Mary CC.
Week 3 Winner
Crushed Patrick Henry 49-7 a year after getting beat 60-13 by the Patriots.
Week 4 Winner
After losing 48 straight, the Lakers have won four in a row. Millersport went to 4-0 with a win over Worthington Christian.
Week 5 Winner
The Ironmen improved to 5-0 with a 27-0 shutout of previously unbeaten and host Wheelersburg. The Pirates had not scored less than 42 points in their first four games. Jackson stopped Wheelersburg five times on fourth down, including three times inside its 25-yardline.
Week 6 Winner
Sandusky St. Mary Central Catholic
The Panthers are riding their first four-game win streak since 2005 after beating Kansas Lakota 42-7 in the school’s first ever Sandusky River League game.
Week 7 Winners
The Senators snapped Lucasville Valley’s 36-game regular season win streak with a 34-20 win.
The Redbirds went on the road and remained unbeaten with an impressive 64-14 win over host Ready. The Redbirds forced five first half turnovers and led 41-7 at the break. Ready had four yards rushing at half.
Week 8 Winners
The Chieftains fell behind 14-0 less than two minutes into the game but rallied on homecoming to defeat previously unbeaten Kenton Ridge 21-14. Defensively, Bellefontaine held Kenton Ridge, which was averaging 47 points and 450 yards per game, to 203 yards. The Chieftains victory also created a four-way tie atop the CBC Kenton Trail Division with two weeks left.
Twin Valley South
The Panthers remained unbeaten with a convincing 41-14 victory over traditional CCC heavyweight Covington. TVS has already secured its first winning season since 2007 and is looking to earn the programs first playoff berth since 1999 and just second ever.
