Bucknuts & JJHuddle Ohio HS Weekly Awards
This fall we are pleased to announce that JJHuddle and Bucknuts have partnered together to award weekly player and team of the week honors in girls golf, boys golf, boys soccer, girls soccer, volleyball, boys cross country, girls cross country and girls tennis.
Each week (regular and postseason) during the fall sports seasons, we will hold a fan-generated contest on JJHuddle to tab a weekly Team and Player of the Week in each sport. Each weekly winner will receive a personalized award from JJHuddle and Bucknuts.
How it works?
A thread soliciting nominations will be posted/stuck in each sports JJHuddle Forum each week. Fans will then nominate top performances. We will announce the weekly finalists (up to 10) on JJHuddle every Monday and voting will be conducted in a special JJHuddle forum. Voting will cease at noon on Friday, after which the winners will be announced.

WEEK 10 VOLLEYBALL ATHLETE OF THE WEEK NOMINEES
Breanna Kramer, Monroeville (VOTE)
Junior led the Eagles to a 3-2 D-III district final win over rival Norwalk St. Paul by recording 21 kills, 37 digs, five blocks and three aces. She was 25-of-26 serving and scored the game’s final point – a decisive kill that made it 17-15 in the fifth set.
Sybil Roseboro, Elyria (VOTE)
Had 19 kills, 21 digs and three blocks in a 3-1 district semifinal win over Midview.
Megan Hesson, Fort Frye (VOTE)
Had 23 kills and 15 digs in a 3-1 district semifinal win over Buckeye Trail.
Erin Weisgarber, Tuscarawas Valley (VOTE)
Had 33 assists in a 3-0 D-III district final win over Fort Frye.
Amanda Curry, Westfall (VOTE)
Had 20 kills, 16 digs and four blocks in a 3-0 win over Chillicothe Southeastern in the D-III district finals.
Emma Granger, Dalton (VOTE)
Sophomore had career-high 42 kills in a 3-2 sectional final win over Tuslaw.
Jordan Mackay, Hudson (VOTE)
Had 19 kills and 12 digs in a 3-1 D-I district final win over Canfield.
Amanda Schaefer, Kenston (VOTE)
Had 40 assists in a 3-0 D-I district final win over Solon.
WEEK 10 VOLLEYBALL TEAM OF THE WEEK NOMINEES
The Tigers snapped Upper Sandusky’s 23-match win streak and won a D-II district title with a 3-1 win.
The Eagles rallied from an 0-2 hole to win a D-II district title with a come-from-behind 3-2 victory over Mantua Crestwood.
The Explorers snapped Canfield’s 24-match win streak with a 3-1 victory in the D-I district finals.
The Red Riders stretched their consecutive sets won streak to 27 and captured their third district title in five years with a 3-0 win over Canton Central Catholic in a D-III final.
Fairfield Christian (VOTE)
The Knights beat Delaware Christian 3-1 to win the program’s first district title (D-IV).
The Redskins won the program’s first district title since 1988 with a 3-0 win over Mariopn Pleasant in D-III.
The Mustangs won their third straight D-III District title (and 14th overall) with a 3-0 win over Chillicothe Southeastern.
Miami East (VOTE)
The Vikings won their fourth straight D-III district title with a 3-0 sweep of Badin.
The Bulldogs got revenge for last year’s district final loss to Unioto by rallying from a 2-1 deficit to beat the Sherman Tanks 3-2 in a D-II district final rematch.
Cleveland Villa Angela-St. Joseph (VOTE)
The Vikings won their second straight D-IV district title with a 3-0 win over Kidron Central Christian.
