JJHuddle’s Ohio Girls Cross Country Honor Roll: Bucknuts Weekly Player & Team of the Week Award Nominees


Bucknuts & JJHuddle Ohio HS Weekly Awards

This fall we are pleased to announce that JJHuddle and Bucknuts have partnered together to award weekly player and team of the week honors in girls golf, boys golf, boys soccer, girls soccer, volleyball, boys cross country, girls cross country and girls tennis.

Each week (regular and postseason) during the fall sports seasons, we will hold a fan-generated contest on JJHuddle to tab a weekly Team and Player of the Week in each sport. Each weekly winner will receive a personalized award from JJHuddle and Bucknuts.

How it works?
A thread soliciting nominations will be posted/stuck in each sports JJHuddle Forum each week. Fans will then nominate top performances. We will announce the weekly finalists (up to 10) on JJHuddle every Monday and voting will be conducted in a special JJHuddle forum. Voting will cease at noon on Friday, after which the winners will be announced.

Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary (VOTE)
The Irish edged rival Woodridge 53-56 to win the D-II regional title at Boardman.

Athens (VOTE)
The Bulldogs dismantled the competition at the D-II Pickerington Regional by winning the title 32-114 over runner-up Morgan. Athens put its top five runners in the Top 16.

GlenOak (VOTE)
The Eagles won their first regional title since 2006 when they beat Nordonia by 17 points to win the D-I Boardman Regional.

Perrysburg (VOTE)
The Yellow jackets won the D-I regional title at Tiffin with a 62-77 win over runner-up Brunswick.

Lexington (VOTE)
The Minutemen doubled up runner-up Wauseon (52-110) to capture the D-II regional title at Tiffin.

Olentangy Liberty (VOTE)
The Patriots won the D-I regional title at Pickerington North with a 76-139 victory over runner-up Hilliard Davidson.

McDonald (VOTE)
The Blue Devils won the D-III regional title at Youngstown with a 75-76 victroy over runner-up Gilmour Academy.


Jen Muhlenkamp, Triway (VOTE)
Senior became the first runner in school history to qualify for four straight state tournaments when she finished runner-up at the D-II Boardman Regional (19:21.25).

Athena Welsh, St. Thomas Aquinas (VOTE)
Junior won the D-III regional race at Boardman by nearly 40 seconds with a time of 18:46.70.

Louiza Wise, Solon (VOTE)
Junior won the D-I regional race at Boardman with a time of 19:19.95.

Elyse Black, Jackson (VOTE)
Senior won the D-II Pickerington Regional title by a second (19:15.32-19:16.31) over Athens’ Madison Yerke.

Chloe Flora, Botkins (VOTE)
Junior won the D-III regional race at Troy with a time of 19:32.68.

Carlee Rhoads, Medina Highland (VOTE)
Junior won the D-I regional race at Tiffin by 24 seconds with a time of 18:12.58.

Claire Wiles, Olentangy Liberty (VOTE)
Senior won the D-I regional race at Pickerington North by just over a second with a time of 18:47.52.

Rachel Wentworth, Garaway (VOTE)
Junior won the D-III regional race at Pickerington North with a time of 19;10.41.
