Bucknuts & JJHuddle Ohio HS Weekly Awards
This fall we are pleased to announce that JJHuddle and Bucknuts have partnered together to award weekly player and team of the week honors in girls golf, boys golf, boys soccer, girls soccer, volleyball, boys cross country, girls cross country and girls tennis.
Each week (regular and postseason) during the fall sports seasons, we will hold a fan-generated contest on JJHuddle to tab a weekly Team and Player of the Week in each sport. Each weekly winner will receive a personalized award from JJHuddle and Bucknuts.
How it works?
A thread soliciting nominations will be posted/stuck in each sports JJHuddle Forum each week. Fans will then nominate top performances. We will announce the weekly finalists (up to 10) on JJHuddle every Monday and voting will be conducted in a special JJHuddle forum. Voting will cease at noon on Friday, after which the winners will be announced.

WEEK 9 VOLLEYBALL ATHLETE OF THE WEEK NOMINEES
Hallie Zumack, Independence (VOTE)
Had 41 assists in a 3-0 sectional win over Black River.
Ally Duncan, Springfield Catholic Central (VOTE)
Had 20 kills, 32 digs and four blocks in a 3-0 sectional win over Russia.
Katie Walter, Garaway (VOTE)
Had 20 digs, 11 kills, 11 assists and five blocks in a 3-0 sectional win over Coshocton.
Tyra Darden, Elyria (VOTE)
Had 22 kills and 29 digs in a 3-2 victory over Amherst Steele.
Sydney Wentling, Carey (VOTE)
Became the first player in school history to record over 600 assists in three straight seasons when she had 28 in a 3-0 sectional win over Vanlue.
WEEK 9 VOLLEYBALL TEAM OF THE WEEK NOMINEES
The Wildcats won their second straight TVC Hocking title with a 3-0 win over viciting Trimble in a winner-take-all league title match.
Snapped a 19-game losing streak by winning their first postseason sectional match 3-0 over Toledo Rogers.
Licking Valley (VOTE)
Despite being down 0-2 in the D-II sectional final to River Valley, the Panthers rallied to win 3-2 and advance to the district semis. It was the first five-set match LV won this year.
The Cardinals extended their school record win streak to 23 games with a 3-0 victory over Kent Roosevelt in the D-I sectional finals.
Portsmouth West (VOTE)
The Senators won their first sectional title in 14 years (since 2000) with a 3-0 victory over Fairland in the D-III sectional finals.
Federal Hocking (VOTE)
The Lancers won back-to-back sectional titles for the first time since 1980-81 with a 3-0 victory over Alexander.
The Buckeyes won their fifth straight sectional title with a 3-0 win over Oak Hill.
Miami Valley Christian Academy (VOTE)
The Lions ran their win streak (all 3-0 decisions) to 10 and advanced to the district final with a win over Lockland.
The Bulldogs won their fourth straight sectional title with a 3-0 win over Vincent Warren.
