Bucknuts & JJHuddle Ohio HS Weekly Awards
This fall we are pleased to announce that JJHuddle and Bucknuts have partnered together to award weekly player and team of the week honors in girls golf, boys golf, boys soccer, girls soccer, volleyball, boys cross country, girls cross country and girls tennis.
Each week (regular and postseason) during the fall sports seasons, we will hold a fan-generated contest on JJHuddle to tab a weekly Team and Player of the Week in each sport. Each weekly winner will receive a personalized award from JJHuddle and Bucknuts.
How it works?
A thread soliciting nominations will be posted/stuck in each sports JJHuddle Forum each week. Fans will then nominate top performances. We will announce the weekly finalists (up to 10) on JJHuddle every Monday and voting will be conducted in a special JJHuddle forum. Voting will cease at noon on Friday, after which the winners will be announced.

WEEK 9 GIRLS SOCCER TEAM OF THE WEEK NOMINEES
Avon Lake (VOTE)
The Shoremen were effective in beating rival Avon 2-1 in OT in sectional play. AL scored on its only two shots on the goal, the second coming from freshman Jackie Rush.
Columbiana Crestview (VOTE)
The Rebels continued the program’s most successful season ever by winning a D-III sectional title with a 3-1 win over Youngstown Ursuline. The Rebels have won a record 12 games and counting.
The Golden Bears won a D-II sectional title with a 2-1 win over Port Clinton.
The Golden Gales won the program’s first postseason game ever and set a program record for wins in a season with their 10th thanks to a 7-3 sectional victory over Westerville South.
Licking Valley (VOTE)
The Panthers won the program’s first ever postseason game with a 6-2 sectional victory over London. Senior Sean Rice led the way with her first ever hat trick.
The Pirates won the program’s first postseason game ever with a 2-0 sectional victory over Alexander.
The Explorers rallied from a 4-1 deficit with 12 minutes left in regulation to beat Kent Roosevelt 5-4 in a D-I sectional final.
Chagrin Falls (VOTE)
The Tigers secured head coach Pam Malone career win No. 300 with a 5-1 sectional victory over Pepper Pike Orange.
The Indians swept Westfall and Circleville by the combined score of 13-0 to win their third straight D-II sectional title.
Tiffin Columbian (VOTE)
The Tornadoes won the program’s first postseason game ever with a 2-0 sectional victory over Clyde.
WEEK 9 GIRLS SOCCER PLAYER OF THE WEEK NOMINEES
Josie Chaddock, Minerva (VOTE)
Set the school record for goals in a season (28) and when she three in a 5-0 win over Harrison Central. Also set the school record for hat tricks in a season when she had her fifth in a 3-0 sectional win over Steubenville.
Yana Miller, Lake Ridge Academy (VOTE)
Scored seven goals in a 9-0 win over Open Door Christian.
Kayla Fischer, Kent Roosevelt (VOTE)
Freshman scored four goals and assisted on two more in a 9-0 sectional win over Warren Harding.
Amanda Kovaleski, Findlay (VOTE)
Assisted on four goals and scored two of her own in an 11-0 sectional win over Toledo Start.
Alyssa Garbinsky, Tallmadge (VOTE)
Assisted on four goals and scored one of her own in a 10-0 sectional win over Streetsboro.
Erin Bernard, Cleveland Heights (VOTE)
Scored five goals in a 5-0 win over Willoughby South.
Julie Vazquez, Mooney (VOTE)
Scored four goals and had two assists in a 12-2 sectional win over Youngstown Christian.
Bethany Rasile, Niles (VOTE)
Scored three goals and had two assists in a, 8-0 sectional win over Girard.
Erica Campbell, Lancaster (VOTE)
Junior scored three goals and had two assists in a 7-3 sectional win over Westerville South.
Whitney Webb, Troy (VOTE)
Scored four goals in a 5-1 sectional win over Vandalia Butler.
