Bucknuts & JJHuddle Ohio HS Weekly Awards

This fall we are pleased to announce that JJHuddle and Bucknuts have partnered together to award weekly player and team of the week honors in girls golf, boys golf, boys soccer, girls soccer, volleyball, boys cross country, girls cross country and girls tennis.

Each week (regular and postseason) during the fall sports seasons, we will hold a fan-generated contest on JJHuddle to tab a weekly Team and Player of the Week in each sport. Each weekly winner will receive a personalized award from JJHuddle and Bucknuts.

How it works?
A thread soliciting nominations will be posted/stuck in each sports JJHuddle Forum each week. Fans will then nominate top performances. We will announce the weekly finalists (up to 10) on JJHuddle every Monday and voting will be conducted in a special JJHuddle forum. Voting will cease at noon on Friday, after which the winners will be announced.

WEEK 9 GIRLS XC TEAM OF THE WEEK NOMINEES

Coldwater (VOTE)
The Cavaliers won the D-III district 2 meet at Ottawa Memorial Park with a 32-63 victory over rival St. Henry.

Liberty-Benton (VOTE)
The Eagles won the D-II district meet at Liberty Center.

Defiance (VOTE)
The Bulldogs won the D-II district meet at Ottawa with a 52-79 win over Celina.

Xenia Christian (VOTE)
Despite only having one senior in the line-up, the Ambassadors won the D-III district B tital at the Miami Valley Career Tech Center in Dayton with a 35-57 win over runner-up Covington. XC had four runners in the Top 10.

Alter (VOTE)
The Knights dominated the D-II district A race at the Miami Valley Career Tech Center in Dayton by scoring a 21-40 win over runner-up Tippecanoe. Six of Alter’s seven runners finished in the Top 10.

Lexington (VOTE)
The Minutemen placed five runners in the Top 10 en route to winning the D-II district race at Galion with a 22-85 victory over runner-up Bellevue.

Berkshire (VOTE)
The Badgers placed five runners in the Top 10 to edge McDonald 24-35 for the team title at the D-III district race at the Trumball County Fairgrounds.

Garaway (VOTE)
The Pirates put their top five runners in the Top 10 and scored a 27-73 win over runner-up Caldwell to win the D-III district meet at Cambridge.

WEEK 9 GIRLS XC ATHLETE OF THE WEEK NOMINEES

Olivia Hammons, Clyde (VOTE)
Junior won the D-II district meet at Ottawa Memorial Park with a time of 19:43.8.

Hannah Privette, New Knoxville (VOTE)
Won the D-III district 1 meet at Ottawa Memorial Park with a time of 19:22.6.

Hayley Hess, Clay (VOTE)
Junior won the D-I district 2 title at Pearson park with a time of 18:43.9.

Emily Zimmerman, Cuyahoga Falls (VOTE)
Sophomore won the D-I district meet at Akron’s Goodyear Heights Metro Park with a time of 19:43.06.

Reghan Bieleski, West Liberty-Salem (VOTE)
Freshman won the D-III district A race at the Miami Valley Career Tech Center in Dayton with a time of 19:31.

Madison Yerke, Athens (VOTE)
Senior won the D-II district 1 race at Rio Grande with a time of 18:39.74.

Amanda Cusimano, Bay (VOTE)
Sophomore won the D-II district race at Lorain County CC with a time of 20:27.52.

Rachel Lovett, Twinsburg (VOTE)
Junior won the D-I district race at the Trumball County Fairgrounds with a time of 18:47.60.

Anna Brandt, Rocky River (VOTE)
Sophomore won the D-I district race at Lorain County CC with a time of 19:37.87.
