Bucknuts & JJHuddle Ohio HS Weekly Awards
This fall we are pleased to announce that JJHuddle and Bucknuts have partnered together to award weekly player and team of the week honors in girls golf, boys golf, boys soccer, girls soccer, volleyball, boys cross country, girls cross country and girls tennis.
Each week (regular and postseason) during the fall sports seasons, we will hold a fan-generated contest on JJHuddle to tab a weekly Team and Player of the Week in each sport. Each weekly winner will receive a personalized award from JJHuddle and Bucknuts.
How it works?
A thread soliciting nominations will be posted/stuck in each sports JJHuddle Forum each week. Fans will then nominate top performances. We will announce the weekly finalists (up to 10) on JJHuddle every Monday and voting will be conducted in a special JJHuddle forum. Voting will cease at noon on Friday, after which the winners will be announced.

WEEK 8 GIRLS SOCCER ATHLETE OF THE WEEK NOMINEES
Julie Vazquez, Mooney (VOTE)
Scored six goals in a 7-1 win over Akron Springfield.
Rachel Braunegg, Lakeview (VOTE)
Scored five goals and had two assists in a 13-0 win over Girard.
Nikki Cox, Granville (VOTE)
Tied the all-time Licking County career goals scored record with her 108th in a 6-0 win over Hebron Lakewood. Also had two assists.
Makayla Walton, Tiffin Columbian (VOTE)
Scored four goals in a 5-2 win over Oak Harbor.
Kerrie Dolick, John Glenn (VOTE)
Senior scored six goals in an 8-0 win over Cambridge. Set the school career goals scored record earlier this season.
Brianna Baker, Chagrin Falls (VOTE)
Had two goals and two assists in a 7-1 win over Beaumont.
Jacklyn Watson, Clark Montessori (VOTE)
Senior scored five goals and had two assists in a 10-1 win over Mount Healthy.
WEEK 8 GIRLS SOCCER TEAM OF THE WEEK NOMINEES
The Titans won the Western Buckeye League title with a 2-0 victory over Lima Bath in a winner-take-all WBL showdown.
The Wildcats won their sixth straight Putnam County League title with a 4-2 win over Continental.
The Blue Devils beat Dover 12-0 to win its first outright ECOL title.
Yellow Jackets captured their third GWOC North title since 2010 with a, 8-0 wn over Greenville. Plays Springboro Thursday
The Eagles won their 18th straight NCOSA game and second straight NCOSA title with a 5-1 win over Cory-Rawson.
The Eagles won the TRAC title with a 1-0 victory over Findlay.
The Falcons capped a perfect league record (6-0) and won the first ever SOC title with a 3-1 win over Wheelersburg.
