Bucknuts & JJHuddle Ohio HS Weekly Awards

This fall we are pleased to announce that JJHuddle and Bucknuts have partnered together to award weekly player and team of the week honors in girls golf, boys golf, boys soccer, girls soccer, volleyball, boys cross country, girls cross country and girls tennis.

Each week (regular and postseason) during the fall sports seasons, we will hold a fan-generated contest on JJHuddle to tab a weekly Team and Player of the Week in each sport. Each weekly winner will receive a personalized award from JJHuddle and Bucknuts.

How it works?
A thread soliciting nominations will be posted/stuck in each sports JJHuddle Forum each week. Fans will then nominate top performances. We will announce the weekly finalists (up to 10) on JJHuddle every Monday and voting will be conducted in a special JJHuddle forum. Voting will cease at noon on Friday, after which the winners will be announced.

WEEK 9 GIRLS GOLF PLAYER OF THE WEEK NOMINEES

Miranda Greene, Bellbrook (VOTE)
Senior shot a two-under-par 71 to win medalist honors at the D-I Sectional at Kitthawk GC.

Emily Hughes, Gahanna Lincoln (VOTE)
Senior shot a 66 to earn medalist honors at the D-I sectional at Westchester GC.

Kasey Nielsen, Kent Roosevelt (VOTE)
Shot a 71 to earn medalist honors by a stroke over her sister Kelly at the D-I sectional at Little Mountain GC.

Kylie Greulich, Huron (VOTE)
Won D-II district medalist honors at Sycamore Springs GC after shooting 74.

Jennifer Wang, Solon (VOTE)
Shot 72 to win medalist honors at the D-I sectional at Ellsworth Meadows GC.

Erin Harper, Watterson (VOTE)
Shot a 71 to win medalist honors at the D-I sectional at Mentel Memorial GC.

Niki Schroeder, Avon Lake (VOTE)
Shot a 69 to earn medalist honors by nine strokes at the D-I sectional at Sweetbriar GC.

Sarah Willis, Eaton (VOTE)
Freshman won D-II district medalist honors (shot 73) by two strokes at PipeStone GC.

Gabby Minor, Massillon Jackson (VOTE)
Shot a two-under-par 70 to earn medalist honors at the D-I sectional at Turkeyfoot Lakes GC.

Hayley Hardford, LaBrae (VOTE)
Shot a 68 to earn medalist honors at the D-II district at Tam O’Shanter Hills GC.

WEEK 9 GIRLS GOLF TEAM OF THE WEEK NOMINEES

Avon Lake (VOTE)
The Shoremen shot 342 to win the D-I sectional at Sweetbriar GC by 12 strokes over Solon.

Lexington (VOTE)
The Minutemen became the school’s first golf team – boys or girls – to make the state tournament when they finished runner-up at the D-II district at Sycamore Springs GC.

Huron (VOTE)
The Tigers won the D-II district title Sycamore Springs GC after shooting 354 to win by 10 strokes over runner-up Lexington.

Sycamore (VOTE)
The Aviators shot 340 to win the D-I sectional at the Hamilton Elks GC by 13 strokes.

Walsh Jesuit (VOTE)
The Warriors shot 327 to win the D-I sectional title at Ellsworth Meadows GC by 12 strokes.

Pickerington North (VOTE)
The Panthers shot a 307 to win the D-I sectional at Westchester GC by 17 strokes.

Dublin Coffman (VOTE)
The Rocks rolled everyone at the D-I sectional at Royal American Links. Coffman shot 308 to finish 43 strokes ahead of runner-up Canal Winchester.

Dublin Jerome (VOTE)
The Celtics shot a 304 to win the D-I sectional title at Mentel Memorial GC by 27 strokes over runner-up Watterson.

Dover (VOTE)
The Tornadoes won the D-II district title at River Greens GC. Dover shot 347 to beat runner-up Madison Plains by 12 strokes.

Chaminade Julienne (VOTE)
The Eagles shot 349 to win the D-II district title at Pipestone GC by 12 strokes.
