Bucknuts & JJHuddle Ohio HS Weekly Awards

This fall we are pleased to announce that JJHuddle and Bucknuts have partnered together to award weekly player and team of the week honors in girls golf, boys golf, boys soccer, girls soccer, volleyball, boys cross country, girls cross country and girls tennis.

Each week (regular and postseason) during the fall sports seasons, we will hold a fan-generated contest on JJHuddle to tab a weekly Team and Player of the Week in each sport. Each weekly winner will receive a personalized award from JJHuddle and Bucknuts.

How it works?
A thread soliciting nominations will be posted/stuck in each sports JJHuddle Forum each week. Fans will then nominate top performances. We will announce the weekly finalists (up to 10) on JJHuddle every Monday and voting will be conducted in a special JJHuddle forum. Voting will cease at noon on Friday, after which the winners will be announced.

WEEK 7 GIRLS XC TEAM OF THE WEEK NOMINEES

Nordonia (VOTE)
The Knights won the 23-team Medina Cross Country Festival with a 17-point win over runner-up Green.

Woodridge (VOTE)
The Bulldogs scored 42 points to record a 45-point victory over runner-up Walsh Jesuit at the Stow Bulldog Invitational.

Eaton (VOTE)
The Eagles repeated as champions at Eaton’s Ed Leas Fall Classic.

Granville (VOTE)
The Blue Aces won the 22-team Les Eisenhart Invitational with 53 points. All five Granville runner finished in the Top 16.

Lakota West (VOTE)
The Firebirds won the 20-team Anna Invitational with a 45-57 victory over runner-up McAuley. Lakota West had all five runners place in the Top 14.

Minster (VOTE)
The Wildcats scored a decisive 58-point win at the 19-team Coldwater Invitational. Minster tallied 26 points and had all five runners finish in the Top 10.

Reedsville Eastern (VOTE)
The Eagles won the 16-team Unioto Invitational with a 68-76 win over runner-up Unioto.

Kings (VOTE)
The Knights had all five runners place in the Top 12 en route o winning the Deer Park Invitational by 47 points over runner-up Mariemont.

Canton Central Catholic (VOTE)
The Crusaders had four runners in the Top 10 and scored 40 points en route to winning the Tuslaw Invitational by 28 points over runner-up Tuslaw.

WEEK 7 GIRLS XC ATHLETE OF THE WEEK NOMINEES

Allyson Malone, Albany Alexander (VOTE)
Senior won a deep Alexander Invitational-field with a time of 18:50.70.

Carlee Rhoads, Medina Highland (VOTE)
Won the Medina Cross Country Festival with a time of 18:58.07.

Rachel Lovett, Twinsburg (VOTE)
Junior won her third invitational of the season with a victory at the Stow Bulldog Invitational where she ran 19:29.8.

Claire Lamb, Granville (VOTE)
Senior won the 22-team Thomas Worthington Les Eisenhart Invitational with a PR of 18:19. That time ranks eighth best in Ohio this year.

Emily Sreenen, Lima Central Catholic (VOTE)
Freshman won the 20-team Anna Invitational with a time of 19:07.40.

Dominique Clairmonte, Lexington (VOTE)
Junior ran the state’s fastest time to date with a PR of 17:29.90 to win the Harding Invitational.

Fallon Doyle, Bellaire St. John’s (VOTE)
Senior ran 18:28.21 to win the Cal Pokas OVAC Championship by 20 seconds.

Lauren Keiser, Granville Christian (VOTE)
Senior ran 19:30 to win Jonathan Alder’s Ray Russell Invitational.

Brittany Atkinson, Liberty Center (VOTE)
Senior won the Fostoria Booster Invitational Black Division by over a minute with a time of 18:58.37.

Lilly Saniel-Barney, Hilliard Davidson (VOTE)
Senior won te Darby Dash with a time of 18:34.80.
