Bucknuts & JJHuddle Ohio HS Weekly Awards
This fall we are pleased to announce that JJHuddle and Bucknuts have partnered together to award weekly player and team of the week honors in girls golf, boys golf, boys soccer, girls soccer, volleyball, boys cross country, girls cross country and girls tennis.
Each week (regular and postseason) during the fall sports seasons, we will hold a fan-generated contest on JJHuddle to tab a weekly Team and Player of the Week in each sport. Each weekly winner will receive a personalized award from JJHuddle and Bucknuts.
How it works?
A thread soliciting nominations will be posted/stuck in each sports JJHuddle Forum each week. Fans will then nominate top performances. We will announce the weekly finalists (up to 10) on JJHuddle every Monday and voting will be conducted in a special JJHuddle forum. Voting will cease at noon on Friday, after which the winners will be announced.

WEEK 7 GIRLS TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK NOMINEES
Emily Dunbar, Cloverleaf (VOTE)
Sophomore won the Suburban League first singles title with a 6-0, 6-0 win in the final.
Sher McLean, Waverly (VOTE)
Won the SOC first singles title with a 6-0, 6-0 win in the final.
Haley Yuhas, Brunswick (VOTE)
Won the Northeast Ohio Conference River Division first singles title.
Brooke Falb, Milton-Union (VOTE)
Won the first singles title at the SWBL Buckeye Division Tournament.
Katie Curry, Talawanda (VOTE)
Won the first singles title at the SWOC Tournament.
Jamie Vizelman, Mayfield (VOTE)
Won the Northeast Ohio Conference Valley Division first singles title and was named NOC POY.
Claire Oates, Kenton (VOTE)
Won the Western Buckeye League first singles title.
Elle Bullock, Dublin Jerome (VOTE)
Went 3-0 last week, which include key wins over Dublin Coffman’s Ashley Tan and Lexington’s Alex Griebling.
Heather Haynes, Hilliard Davidson (VOTE)
Went 3-0 last week, including a win over Olentangy Orange’s Jessica Phelps.
Mary Ann Click, Columbus School for Girls (VOTE)
Notched big wins over Watterson’s Claire Ghidotti and Worthington Christian’s Christina Hemmingsen.
WEEK 7 GIRLS TENNIS TEAM OF THE WEEK NOMINEES
The Bulldogs won the Suburban League Girls Tennis title thanks to reaching the finals in all five flights. Green was unbeaten during the regular season in league play as well.
The Lady Tigers won their second straight ECOL title and secured head coach Chris Mayer career win No. 100.
The Golden Eagles won the first SWBL SW Division title in program history.
North Royalton (VOTE)
The Bears won the Northeast Ohio Conference River Division title.
The Yellow Jackets won their second straight NLL title by winning all five flights at the postseason tournament.
The Braves won the SWOC Tournament.
The Vikings won the GWOC South and overall titles and finished undefeated in the conference (10-0).
The Redskins won four of five flights en route to winning the Western Buckeye League tournament.
Walnut Hills (VOTE)
The Eagles defended their Eastern Cincinnati Conference tournament title.
The Eagles won the final West Shore Conference tournament (disbands after this season) after finishing second by a point last year. Avon won all five flights.
