Bucknuts & JJHuddle Ohio HS Weekly Awards

This fall we are pleased to announce that JJHuddle and Bucknuts have partnered together to award weekly player and team of the week honors in girls golf, boys golf, boys soccer, girls soccer, volleyball, boys cross country, girls cross country and girls tennis.

Each week (regular and postseason) during the fall sports seasons, we will hold a fan-generated contest on JJHuddle to tab a weekly Team and Player of the Week in each sport. Each weekly winner will receive a personalized award from JJHuddle and Bucknuts.

How it works?
A thread soliciting nominations will be posted/stuck in each sports JJHuddle Forum each week. Fans will then nominate top performances. We will announce the weekly finalists (up to 10) on JJHuddle every Monday and voting will be conducted in a special JJHuddle forum. Voting will cease at noon on Friday, after which the winners will be announced.

WEEK 6 BOYS SOCCER ATHLETE OF THE WEEK NOMINEES

Shai Yulish, Beachwood (VOTE)
Had back-to-back hat tricks in wins over Cardinal (6-0) and Cuyahoga Heights (6-2).

Hunter Miles, Chillicothe Southeastern (VOTE)
Scored three goals and had an assist in a 9-0 win over Piketon.

Dan Ackerman, Tuscarawas Valley (VOTE)
Had three assists and two goals in a 10-1 win over Timken.

Ryan Grauel, Medina Buckeye (VOTE)
Scored four goals and had an assist in an 8-0 win over Brooklyn.

Ryan Smith, Fairless (VOTE)
Scored two goals and had three assists in a 9-0 win over Tuslaw.

Zander Perelman, Cleveland Heights (VOTE)
Scored four goals in a 4-4 tie against North Olmsted. Has 37 goals this season and has scored at least one every game.

Daniel Branch, Revere (VOTE)
Scored four second half goals to lead the Minutemen to a 4-0 win over Cuyahoga Falls.

Derek Zweller, Louisville (VOTE)
Scored four goals and had two assists in a 7-0 win over Akron Ellet.

Jared Brandt, Piqua (VOTE)
Junior scored four goals in a 5-0 win over Greeneville and had two goals and two assists in an 8-0 win over Milton-Union.

WEEK 6 BOYS SOCCER TEAM OF THE WEEK NOMINEES

Firestone (VOTE)
The Falcons won their 20th straight Akron City Series title with a 4-0 win over Akron North.

North Canton Hoover (VOTE)
The Vikings supplied head coach Neil Baasten career win No. 250 with a 4-1 victory over Massillon Perry.

South Range (VOTE)
The Raiders swept the season series from rival Columbiana Crestview with a 4-0 victory. South Range won the first meeting 5-1.

CVCA (VOTE)
The Royals went 2-0 last week with wins over Padua (6-1) and state-ranked Hudson (3-1).

Tecumseh (VOTE)
The Arrows ran their win streak to nine and handed previously unbeaten Vandalia-Butler its first loss 2-1.

Springboro (VOTE)
The Panthers ran their unbeaten streak to 12 games with road wins at Xenia and Fairmont. Boro hasn’t lost since dropping the first game of the season at undefeated Mason.

Wyoming (VOTE)
The Cowboys remained unbeaten with shutout wins over Mariemont and Northwest. Wyoming has allowed nine goals and has shut out eight of its last nine opponents.

Columbus DeSales (VOTE)
The Stallions posted back-to-back shutout wins against Granville and Hilliard Bradley.
