JJHuddle’s Ohio Volleyball Honor Roll: Bucknuts Weekly Player & Team of the Week Award Nominees


Bucknuts & JJHuddle Ohio HS Weekly Awards

This fall we are pleased to announce that JJHuddle and Bucknuts have partnered together to award weekly player and team of the week honors in girls golf, boys golf, boys soccer, girls soccer, volleyball, boys cross country, girls cross country and girls tennis.

Each week (regular and postseason) during the fall sports seasons, we will hold a fan-generated contest on JJHuddle to tab a weekly Team and Player of the Week in each sport. Each weekly winner will receive a personalized award from JJHuddle and Bucknuts.

How it works?
A thread soliciting nominations will be posted/stuck in each sports JJHuddle Forum each week. Fans will then nominate top performances. We will announce the weekly finalists (up to 10) on JJHuddle every Monday and voting will be conducted in a special JJHuddle forum. Voting will cease at noon on Friday, after which the winners will be announced.

Sydney Wentling, Carey (VOTE)
Junior hit the 1,500 assist plateau in a 3-0 win over Seneca East. She was 71-of-71 setting with 29 assists, nine digs, six aces and four kills.

Caitlin Clarke, Claymont (VOTE)
Had 30 kills in a 3-1 win over Marietta.

Beth Stumpf, Chaminade Julienne (VOTE)
Senior had a triple-double when she registered 21 kills, 19 digs and 24 assists in a 3-2 loss to Roger Bacon.

Alexis Thomas, Fairfield (VOTE)
Senior had 42 assists, 28 digs, seven kills and four blocks in a 3-1 win over Lakota West. She also had 32 assists, 14 digs, eight kills and five aces in a 3-1 win over Monroe.

Breanna Kramer, Monroeville (VOTE)
Had 28 digs, 21 kills and two blocks in 3-2 win over Milan Edison.

Kam Terry, Sparta Highland (VOTE)
Had 25 kills in a 3-0 win over previously unbeaten and MOAC Red Division rival Northmor.

Audrey Francis, Fairlawn (VOTE)
Sophomore had 23 kills and 30 digs in a 3-1 win over Russia.

Carly Stepic, Holy Name (VOTE)
Had 37 assists and 14 digs in a 3-0 win over Trinity.

Sara Loomis, Malvern (VOTE)
Had a triple-double (11 kills, 10 blocks, 12 digs and seven points) in a 3-1 loss to Ridgewood.

Stephanie Williams, NDCL (VOTE)
Had 23 kills, 26 digs and three aces in a 3-2 win over Padua Franciscan.


Sydnee Johnson, Centerville
Freshman had 47 assists in a 3-1 win over Fairmont.

Brooke Welsch, Coldwater
Had 15 digs, 13 kills and four aces in a 3-0 win over then-No. 1 ranked Versailles.

Kristin Wynn, Columbus Grove
Had 12 blocks and 11 kills in a 3-0 win over Lincolnview and 12 blocks and six kills in a 3-1 win over Ottoville.

Jamie Peterson, West Liberty-Salem
Had 22 kills in a 3-0 win over Cedarville.


Coldwater (VOTE)
Beat Versailles 3-0 in a match-up of state-raked undefeated MAC teams. Added a 3-0 victory over Marion Local.

Sparta Highland (VOTE)
The Scots won a meeting of state-ranked MOAC Red Division teams with a 3-0 win over previously unbeaten Northmor.

Toledo St. Ursula (VOTE)
The nationally-ranked Arrows remained unbeaten and handled Toledo Notre Dame 3-0 before a standing-room-only of 1,300.

Hamilton Township (VOTE)
The Rangers handed state-ranked Bloom-Carroll its first MSL loss since 2010 with a 3-0 victory.

Gilmour Academy (VOTE)
The Lancers beat Huron 3-1 in a match-up of state-ranked D-III teams. Also won the Casstown Clash tournament title.

Cardinal (VOTE)
Won the Chagrin Falls Invitational with victories over Woodridge, Twinsburg and Chagrin Falls.

Elyria (VOTE)
The Pioneers won the Firestone Invitational with wins over Columbia, GlenOak and Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary.

Independence (VOTE)
The Blue Devils won their own Rene Roche Invitational with wins over Buckeye, Willoughby South and St. Joseph Academy.

Hartley (VOTE)
The Hawks won five matches last week including victories over Dublin Coffman and Athens.

Dixie (VOTE)
The Greyhounds improved to 13-0 with wins over Arcanum, Carlisle and Northridge.
