Bucknuts & JJHuddle Ohio HS Weekly Awards

This fall we are pleased to announce that JJHuddle and Bucknuts have partnered together to award weekly player and team of the week honors in girls golf, boys golf, boys soccer, girls soccer, volleyball, boys cross country, girls cross country and girls tennis.

Each week (regular and postseason) during the fall sports seasons, we will hold a fan-generated contest on JJHuddle to tab a weekly Team and Player of the Week in each sport. Each weekly winner will receive a personalized award from JJHuddle and Bucknuts.

How it works?
A thread soliciting nominations will be posted/stuck in each sports JJHuddle Forum each week. Fans will then nominate top performances. We will announce the weekly finalists (up to 10) on JJHuddle every Monday and voting will be conducted in a special JJHuddle forum. Voting will cease at noon on Friday, after which the winners will be announced.

WEEK 7 GIRLS GOLF PLAYER OF THE WEEK NOMINEES

Alexis Miller, Elmwood (VOTE)
Was the only golfer to shoot under 100 when she posted a 91 to earn medalist honors at the Northern Buckeye Conference girls golf championship at Green Hills GC. Miller also won medalist honors at every NBC shootout tourney during the regular season.

Alexa Swayne, Kings (VOTE)
Won medalist honors at the ECC Tournament by shooting a 77 at Bel-Wood CC.

Tori Johnson, Licking Valley (VOTE)
Shot an 81 to earn medalist honors at the Licking County League postseason tournament at Blacklick Woods GC. Johnson, who also won the LCL preseason tourney, repeated as LCL POY.

Danielle Nicholson, Geneva (VOTE)
Shot a 75 to win the Madison Country Club Invitational by eight strokes.

Macie Hysell, Ravenna Southeast (VOTE)
Shot a three-over-par 74 to win the Akron Girls Golf League Championship at Brookledge GC by 19 strokes.

Isabella Joseph, Hawken (VOTE)
Shot 75 at Gleneagles GC to earn medalist honors at the Chagrin Valley Conference Tournament.

Nicole Gerome, North Ridgeville (VOTE)
Shot a 75 at Legacy GC to win co-medalist honors at the West Shore Conference Championship.

Landrie Grace, Massillon Jackson (VOTE)
Senior and High Point (NC) recruit broke her own Stark County Girls Golf Championship record by a stoke with a four-under-par 68 at Sable Creek GC.

Julia Genter, Rocky River (VOTE)
Shot a 75 at Legacy GC to win co-medalist honors at the West Shore Conference Championship.

WEEK 7 GIRLS GOLF TEAM OF THE WEEK NOMINEES

Milford (VOTE)
The Eagles won the ECC Tournament by shooting 349 at Bel-Wood CC. Kings was second (360).

Otsego (VOTE)
Won Northern Buckeye Conference tournament and overall titles with a two-stroke victory over Eastwood in the postseason tournament at Green Hills GC.

Heath (VOTE)
The Bulldogs shot a 378 to beat Newark Catholic by two strokes and win the Licking County League postseason tournament at Blacklick Woods GC. Heath finished second at the preseason LCL tourney and won every LCL dual match during the regular season.

Columbiana (VOTE)
Shot 368 to tie Geneva for the team title at the Madison Country Club Invitational.

Shot 368 to tie Columbiana for the team title at the Madison Country Club Invitational.

Akron Hoban (VOTE)
The Knights shot a 389 to win the Akron Girls Golf League Championship at Brookledge GC.

Kenston (VOTE)
The Bombers won the Chagrin Valley Conference Tournament by 11 strokes when they shot 377 at Gleneagles GC.

Dover (VOTE)
The Tornadoes shot 335 to win the 16-team Tri-County Postseason Championship at Zoar Village GC.

Avon (VOTE)
The Eagles won the West Shore Conference Postseason Tournament by 38 strokes at Legacy GC.

Massillon Jackson (VOTE)
Polar Bears set a Stark County Girls Golf Championship record by shooting 297 at Sable Creek GC. Jackson held the previous record of 303 as well.
