Bucknuts & JJHuddle Ohio HS Weekly Awards
This fall we are pleased to announce that JJHuddle and Bucknuts have partnered together to award weekly player and team of the week honors in girls golf, boys golf, boys soccer, girls soccer, volleyball, boys cross country, girls cross country and girls tennis.
Each week (regular and postseason) during the fall sports seasons, we will hold a fan-generated contest on JJHuddle to tab a weekly Team and Player of the Week in each sport. Each weekly winner will receive a personalized award from JJHuddle and Bucknuts.
How it works?
A thread soliciting nominations will be posted/stuck in each sports JJHuddle Forum each week. Fans will then nominate top performances. We will announce the weekly finalists (up to 10) on JJHuddle every Monday and voting will be conducted in a special JJHuddle forum. Voting will cease at noon on Friday, after which the winners will be announced.

WEEK 6 BOYS GOLF PLAYER OF THE WEEK NOMINEES
Austin McNutt, New Albany (VOTE)
Shot a one-under-par 71 to earn medalist honors at the 30-team General Cup at Wooster CC.
Nick Montes, Pickerington North (VOTE)
Junior shot a 3-under-par 69 to win the Pinnacle Classic. Had six birdies in the final 12 holes.
Davin Jacobs, Sandusky (VOTE)
Junior made his first hole-in-one in the Ontario Invitational at Oak Tree GC. Jacobs holed out on the 175-yard No. 2 with a seven iron.
Morgan McIntyre, Ravenna (VOTE)
Shot a hole-in-one on the 274-yard par 4 No. 16 at Spring Hills Golf Course en route to earning medalist honors with a one-under-par 71 in a dual match against Norton.
Caleb Arnold, Zane Trace (VOTE)
Shot a 73 at Crown Hill GC to win medalist honors at the Westfall Invitational.
Ryan Wessinger, Sycamore (VOTE)
Carded a hole-in-one on the 160-yard No. 8 at Wooster CC during the General Cup.
Josh Rhoads, Elder (VOTE)
Shot a two-under-par 34 to earn medalist honors at a GCL quad with Moeller, St. Xavier and LaSalle at Hyde Park CC.
Will Grimmer, Mariemont (VOTE)
Shot a six-under-par 30 to earn medalist honors in a dual match with Wyoming at The Mill.
Alex Gedert, Woodmore (VOTE)
Fired a three-under-par 33 to earn medalist honors at an NBC Tournament at Stoneridge GC.
Charlie Toman, NDCL (VOTE)
Won his fourth tournament of the season when he carded a 71 to earn medalist honors at the NDCL Lion Invitational at Quail Hollow.
Clinton McElroy, Georgetown
Shot a three-under-par 32 to earn medalist honors in the third SBAAC match at Wilmington Elks.
Ryan Niese, Rossford
Shot a 36 to earn medalist honors at an NBC Tournament at Chippewa GC.
Ben Irivin, Lebanon
Shot a three-under-par 33 to earn medalist honors in a dual match with Northmont at Meadows of Shaker Run.

Shot a three-under-par 33 to earn medalist honors in a tri-match with Anderson and Turpin at Coldstream CC.
Ian Friesner, Lima Central Catholic
Shot a three-under-par 33 to earn medalist honors in a quad-match with Bath, Kalida and Librty-Benton.
Spencer Shoemaker, Findlay
Shot a 34 to earn medalist honors at the TRAC mini-tournament at Brandywine GC.
WEEK 6 BOYS GOLF TEAM OF THE WEEK NOMINEES
Upper Arlington (VOTE)
The Golden Bears beat defending state champion Dublin Jerome 304-308 to win the 30-team General Cup at Wooster CC.
Shot a 158 to win the team title at the NBC Tournament held at Stoneridge GC. Followed that with a 166 to win the team title at the NBC Tournament held at Chippewa GC.
Toledo St. John’s (VOTE)
Shot 154 to win the team title at the TRAC mini-tournament at Brandywine GC. Followed that with a 321 to win Genoa’s Tom Pickerel Invitational at Maumee Bay State Park GC.
Red Streaks won the Westfall Invitational with a 333-336 win over runner-up Zane Trace at Crown Hill GC.
St. Ignatius (VOTE)
The Wildcats won the 18-team Gilmour Invitational with a 313-314 decision over Akron Hoban at Hawthorne Valley CC.
The Explorers carded their lowest team score in 10 years when they shot 142 in a dual match win over Strongsville.
Lake Catholic (VOTE)
The Cougars won the NDCL Lion Invitational with a 311-326 decision over runner-up Akron Hoban at Quail Hollow.
The Bulldogs cracked 300 for the first time in school history when they shot 290 to win the Harold Miller Invitational at Pine Hill GC.
Van Buren (VOTE)
The Black Knights won the 12-team North Baltimore Tiger Invitational by 23 strokes over runner-up Millbury Lake (325-348) at Birch Run GC.
Columbus Academy (VOTE)
The Vikings won the Ridgedale Invitational at Hickory Grove GC by 32 strokes. Academy shot 302, while runner-up Kenton carded a 334.
