Norwalk St. Paul wins National Guard Ohio HS Football Team of the Week Award

You voted, you decided…who had Ohio’s best team performance? The Week 2 competition for the Ohio National Guard JJHuddle Ohio HS Football Team Of the Week is over. And it was a good one. Over 17,000 votes were cast and this week’s winners is…Norwalk St. Paul.

The Flyers will receive a personalized banner suitable for hanging, certificates and bracelets from from the Ohio National Guard and JJHuddle.

Week 2 Winner

Norwalk St. Paul
The then-No. 14 Flyers ran for 463 yards and six TDs en route to beating No. 2 Tiffin Calvert 56-20. This came a week after St. Paul ran for 504 yards and seven TDs in a win over Sandusky St. Mary CC.

Week 1 Winner

Athens
The host Bulldogs beat rival Gallia Academy at home for the first time since 1987 with a convincing 52-0 win. Athens led 45-0 at half and scored TDs on their first right possesions. Senior QB Joe Burrows was 12-of-12 for 289 yards and four TDs. Senior RB Trae Williams ran for 143 yards and three TDs on nine carries.
