Bucknuts & JJHuddle Ohio HS Weekly Awards

This fall we are pleased to announce that JJHuddle and Bucknuts have partnered together to award weekly player and team of the week honors in girls golf, boys golf, boys soccer, girls soccer, volleyball, boys cross country, girls cross country and girls tennis.

Each week (regular and postseason) during the fall sports seasons, we will hold a fan-generated contest on JJHuddle to tab a weekly Team and Player of the Week in each sport. Each weekly winner will receive a personalized award from JJHuddle and Bucknuts.

How it works?
A thread soliciting nominations will be posted/stuck in each sports JJHuddle Forum each week. Fans will then nominate top performances. We will announce the weekly finalists (up to 10) on JJHuddle every Monday and voting will be conducted in a special JJHuddle forum. Voting will cease at noon on Friday, after which the winners will be announced.

WEEK 5 BOYS GOLF PLAYER OF THE WEEK NOMINEES

Tyler Weinert, Bethel (VOTE)
Shot a school and Cross County record six-under-par 30 at Cliffside GC in a dual match against Arcanum

Brad Gottemoeller, Fort Loramie (VOTE)
Set a school sophomore scoring record with a one-under-par 34 in a tri-match against Waynesfield-Goshen and Riverside at Cherokee Hills.

Alex Gedert, Woodmore (VOTE)
Earned medalist honors at the 14-team Old Fort Invite at Nature Trails GC.

Chris Mazzaro, New Richmond (VOTE)
Shot a two-under-par 33 to win medalist honors by seven strokes at the SBC American Match No. 1.

Joshah Rager, Lincolnview (VOTE)
Shot 36 at Bluffton Golf Club to take medalist honors in a NWC match with Bluffton, Allen East and Ada at Bluffton Country Club. Followed that with a 68 to earn medalist honors at the Antwerp Invite at Pond-A-River GC.

Bryce Gorrell, Hopewell-Loudon (VOTE)
Shot a one-under-par 35 and earned medalist honors by nine strokes in a tri-match with Leipsic and Riverdale.

Jack Mancinotti, Toledo St. John’s (VOTE)
Reigning D-I state runner-up won medalist honors at the 18-team Black Knight Classic by firing a blistering 69.

Brady Rupp, Wauseon (VOTE)
Shot a 71 to earn medalist honors at the 15-team Stryker Invitational at Riverside Greens GC.

Isaac Hartley, Bellevue (VOTE)
Shot a three-under-par 32 to earn medalist honors in a dual match with Norwalk.

WEEK 5 BOYS GOLF TEAM OF THE WEEK NOMINEES

Toledo St. John’s (VOTE)
The Titans won the 18-team Black Knight Classic at Red Hawk Run with a 301-308 victory over runner-up Sylvania Southview.

Woodmore (VOTE)
Wildcats earned the team title at the 14-team Old Fort Invite with a two stroke (331-333) win over runner-up Sandusky St. Marys CC.

Bloom-Carroll (VOTE)
The Bulldogs celebrated senior night right by carding a school record 140 to beat Liberty Union by 46 strokes at Pine Hill GC.

Bluffton (VOTE)
The Pirates had three golfers shoot sub-80 scores en route to claiming the 11-team title at the Antwerp Invitational at Pond-A-River GC. Bluffton shot 313, while Allen East finished second at 322.

Stryker (VOTE)
The Panthers won their own 15-team invite at Riverside Greens GC with a 315-320 win over runner-up Wauseon.

Lutheran West (VOTE)
The Longhorns improved to 7-0 with a 168-176 win over Bay at Sweetbriar GC.

Bellbrook (VOTE)
The Eagles beat two-time defending state champion Oakwood for the first time in 14 years and for just the second time ever. Eagles have also won titles at the SWBL Ryder Cup and Ridge Classic.

Miami East (VOTE)
The Vikings improved to 8-0 with 171-192 win over National Trail at Highland Lake.

Hudson (VOTE)
Won the team title at the Pfeiffer Invitational at Oak Knolls with a 640. Kent Roosevelt finished runner-up 12 strokes back.
