Bucknuts & JJHuddle Ohio HS Weekly Awards

This fall we are pleased to announce that JJHuddle and Bucknuts have partnered together to award weekly player and team of the week honors in girls golf, boys golf, boys soccer, girls soccer, volleyball, boys cross country, girls cross country and girls tennis.

Each week (regular and postseason) during the fall sports seasons, we will hold a fan-generated contest on JJHuddle to tab a weekly Team and Player of the Week in each sport. Each weekly winner will receive a personalized award from JJHuddle and Bucknuts.

How it works?
A thread soliciting nominations will be posted/stuck in each sports JJHuddle Forum each week. Fans will then nominate top performances. We will announce the weekly finalists (up to 10) on JJHuddle every Monday and voting will be conducted in a special JJHuddle forum. Voting will cease at noon on Friday, after which the winners will be announced.

WEEK 2 VOLLEYBALL ATHLETE OF THE WEEK NOMINEES

Molly Glick, Arcadia (VOTE)
Senior set a school record for career kills in a tough three-set loss to Liberty-Benton. Glick had 12 kills, which gave her 744 for her career (passing the 741 of Madison Stuby).

Anna Del Zoppo, Mayfield (VOTE)
Senior recorded her 1,000th career dig in a three-set win over Willoughby South.

Jamie Peterson, West Liberty-Salem (VOTE)
Had 28 kills and 12 digs in a four-set win over Bellefontaine; 19 kills and 21 digs in four-set win over Springfield Northeastern; and 15 kills in a loss to Springfield Catholic.

Kelly Nadler, Leipsic (VOTE)
Senior OH was 39-of-48 spiking with 21 kills and three blocks in a 3-1 win over Columbus Grove.

Jodi Johnson, Wadsworth (VOTE)
Had 19 kills and 25 digs in a five-set win over Medina Highland.

Katelyn Partlow, Springfield Northwestern (VOTE)
Had 19 kills and 36 digs in a four-set win over Urbana. Added seven kills and 14 digs in three-set win over Ben Logan.

Amanda Radich, Grove City (VOTE)
Had 18 kills in a win over Columbus DeSales.

Devan Rybarczyk, Avon Lake (VOTE)
Had 20 kills, 16 digs and three aces in a five-set win over Brecksville-Broadview Heights.

Hallie Zumack, Independence (VOTE)
Had 48 assists as the Blue Devils beat Magnificat for the first time in school history.

Shelby Kin, Carey (VOTE)
Had 17 kills, 12 digs and seven blocks in a four-set win over Wynford.

WEEK 2 VOLLEYBALL TEAM OF THE WEEK NOMINEES

Revere (VOTE)
The Minutemen ended Wadsworth’s 58-game Suburban League win streak with a four-set win (25-18, 21-25, 25-9, 25-23).

Independence (VOTE)
It took five sets, but the Blue Devils beat Magnificat for the first time in school history (27-29, 25-11, 18-25, 25-20, 15-10).

Toledo St. Ursula (VOTE)
Beat Perrysburg 3-0 in an early season meeting of NW Ohio contenders.

Milton-Union (VOTE)
The Bulldogs notched career win No. 100 for head coach William Ginn with a 3-0 victory over Dayton Northridge.

Ottawa-Glandorf (VOTE)
The Titans provided head coach Ann Ellerbrock career win No. 300 with a 3-0 victory over Van Wert.

Newton (VOTE)
The Indians defeated Tri-Village, Mississinawa Valley and Arcanum en route to winning the Bradford Invitational.

Grove City (VOTE)
The Greyhounds improved to 4-0 with a pair of 3-0 wins over Groveport-Madison and Newark.

GlenOak (VOTE)
The Eagles improved to 4-0 with a pair of 3-0 wins over Cuyahoga Falls and Canton McKinley.

Springfield Catholic Central (VOTE)
The Irish improved to 5-0 with a pair of 3-0 wins over Greeneview and West Liberty-Salem.

Troy (VOTE)
The Trojans improved to 6-0 with wins over Northmont, West Carrollton and Miami East.
