Bucknuts & JJHuddle Ohio HS Weekly Awards

This fall we are pleased to announce that JJHuddle and Bucknuts have partnered together to award weekly player and team of the week honors in girls golf, boys golf, boys soccer, girls soccer, volleyball, boys cross country, girls cross country and girls tennis.

Each week (regular and postseason) during the fall sports seasons, we will hold a fan-generated contest on JJHuddle to tab a weekly Team and Player of the Week in each sport. Each weekly winner will receive a personalized award from JJHuddle and Bucknuts.

How it works?
A thread soliciting nominations will be posted/stuck in each sports JJHuddle Forum each week. Fans will then nominate top performances. We will announce the weekly finalists (up to 10) on JJHuddle every Monday and voting will be conducted in a special JJHuddle forum. Voting will cease at noon on Friday, after which the winners will be announced.

WEEK 2 BOYS SOCCER ATHLETE OF THE WEEK NOMINEES

Chase Hilliard, Beaver (VOTE)
Senior scored seven goals and had an assist in an 11-0 win over East Palestine.

Mike Eversole, Fairless (VOTE)
Goalie stopped 21 shots in a 0-0 tie against CVCA.

Logan Easterling, Western Brown (VOTE)
Set a school record by scoring six goals in a 9-0 win over Goshen. Also had an assist.

Will Hinegardner, Wapakoneta (VOTE)
Scored six goals in an 11-0 victory over Kenton.

Chris DiFrancesco, Benedictine (VOTE)
Scored four goals in a 6-1 win over Cuyahoga Heights.

Andrew Passalacqua, Chagrin Falls (VOTE)
Senior had two goals and three assists in a 7-0 win over Orange.

Ryan Hassell, Western Reserve Academy (VOTE)
Scored five goals in a 6-0 win over Kent Roosevelt.

Zander Perelman, Cleveland Heights (VOTE)
Scored five goals in a 6-1 win over Madison.

Devin Crowley, Springboro (VOTE)
Scored four goals and an assist in a 7-1 win over Northmont.

Alek Blevins, South Webster (VOTE)
Scored four second half goals to turn a 3-2 halftime deficit into a 6-4 victory over Lucasville Valley.

WEEK 2 BOYS SOCCER TEAM OF THE WEEK NOMINEES

Walsh Jesuit (VOTE)
The Warriors improved to 5-0 with a 3-0 win over Columbus DeSales.

Copley (VOTE)
The Indians improved to 4-0 with a 5-0 win over Medina. Copley has outscored opponents 27-0 this season.

McNicholas (VOTE)
The Rockets remained unbeaten (5-0) with road wins at Purcell Marian and Highlands (Ky.). have outscored opponents 18-4.

Monroe (VOTE)
The Hornets opened 4-0 with shutout road wins at Alter, Fenwick and Brookville. Also beat Oakwood at home.

Dublin Jerome (VOTE)
Celtics improved to 4-0 with wins over Hilliard Bradley and Olentangy Orange. Jerome has outscored its opponents 10-1.

Big Walnut (VOTE)
The Eagles improved to 4-0-1 with shutout wins over Whetstone and Tri-Valley. They tied Olentangy. Big Walnut has four shutouts in five games.

Brecksville-Broadview Heights (VOTE)
Bees rebounded from season-opening loss to Copley to record three straight shutout wins over Valley Forge, Steele and Wadsworth.

Brunswick (VOTE)
The Blue Devils started the season 3-0-1 with shutout victories over Parma, Fairview and Ravenna. They tied Massillon Jackson. Brunswick has outscored its opponents 20-1.

Bay Village Bay (VOTE)
The Rockets improved to 4-1-1 with a huge 2-1 victory over defending D-II state champion Revere. Also tied Rocky River 0-0.

Avon (VOTE)
The Eagles have started the season 4-0 with wins over Steele, Strongsville, Berea-Midpark and Lakewood. Avon has outscored its opponents 16-4.
