Bucknuts & JJHuddle Ohio HS Weekly Awards

This fall we are pleased to announce that JJHuddle and Bucknuts have partnered together to award weekly player and team of the week honors in girls golf, boys golf, boys soccer, girls soccer, volleyball, boys cross country, girls cross country and girls tennis.

Each week (regular and postseason) during the fall sports seasons, we will hold a fan-generated contest on JJHuddle to tab a weekly Team and Player of the Week in each sport. Each weekly winner will receive a personalized award from JJHuddle and Bucknuts.

How it works?
A thread soliciting nominations will be posted/stuck in each sports JJHuddle Forum each week. Fans will then nominate top performances. We will announce the weekly finalists (up to 10) on JJHuddle every Monday and voting will be conducted in a special JJHuddle forum. Voting will cease at noon on Friday, after which the winners will be announced.

WEEK 4 BOYS GOLF PLAYER OF THE WEEK NOMINEES

Quinn Sullivan, Moeller (VOTE)
Shot a four-under-par 68 to win medalist honors at the 15-team LaSalle Invite.

Logan Sheets, Bidwell River Valley (VOTE)
Won medalist honors for the second straight week in the TVC-Ohio Matches. Sheets shot a 35 at Forest Hills GC, which was five strokes better than his round the week prior to win the second TVC match of the season. Two days later at Cliffside GC, Sheets shot a 41 to win by two strokes.

Max Berry, Norwalk (VOTE)
Shot a two-under-par 33 to win medalist honors by eight strokes in a dual match win over Tiffin Columbian.

Owen Johnson, Millbury Lake (VOTE)
Shot a 3 to earn medalist honors at the Northern Buckeye Conference Shootout at Sugarcreek GC.

Evan Hall, Lima Bath (VOTE)
Took home medalist honors at the Rob Contini Memorial golf tournament by shooting an even-par 72 at Hawthorne Hills GC.

Joe Slusher, Covington (VOTE)
Senior shot a 72 to earn medalist honors at the Versailles Invitaional at Stillwater Valley.

Isaac Hartley, Bellevue (VOTE)
Shot a 73 to earn medalist honors at the Bellevue Invitational.

WEEK 4 BOYS GOLF TEAM OF THE WEEK NOMINEES

Moeller (VOTE)
The Crusaders won the 15-team LaSalle Invitational by eight strokes with a 290-298 victory over runner-up St. Xavier.

Meigs (VOTE)
The Marauders won the second and third TVC-Ohio golf matches of the season last week to forge a tie atop the conference standings with Vinton County. Meigs won the matches 179-180 and 187-198 over VC (which was runner-up in both).

Dayton Christian (VOTE)
The Warriors won the second Metro Buckeye Conference Tourney of the year with a 177. DC’s Evan Brouwer, Phillip Miller and Ben Kiser all shot 42 to tie for medalist honors.

Seneca East (VOTE)
All four of the Tigers golfers came within two strokes of each other in a dual match win over Colonel Crawford. Johnny Diehm shot a 41 to lead the Tigers, while Alex Forehand carded a 4. Riley Kalb and Austin Holmer each shot 43s.

Ashland Crestview (VOTE)
The Cougars won the team title at the Mansfield Senior Invitational at Twin Lakes GC.

Russia (VOTE)
The Raiders won the team title at the 20-team Versailles Invitational by shooting a 328 at Stillwater Valley. Minster was just one stroke behind.

Lexington (VOTE)
Shot 308 to win the team title at the Bellevue Invitational by two strokes over the hosts.

Garaway (VOTE)
Shot 322 to win the 16-team Dover Invitational and 13 strokes over runner-up Wooster.
