Bucknuts & JJHuddle Ohio HS Weekly Spring Awards

This spring we are pleased to announce that JJHuddle and Bucknuts have partnered together to award weekly player and team of the week honors in baseball, softball, girls track, boys track, boys tennis, boys lacrosse and girls lacrosse.

Each week during the spring sports seasons, we will hold a fan-generated contest on JJHuddle to tab a weekly Team and Player of the Week in each sport. Each weekly winner will receive an award from JJHuddle and Bucknuts.

How it works?
A thread soliciting nominations will be posted/stuck in each sports JJHuddle Forum each week. Fans will then nominate top performances. We will announce the weekly finalists (up to 10) on JJHuddle every Monday and voting will be conducted in a special JJHuddle forum. Voting will cease at noon on Friday, after which the winners will be announced.

WEEK 8 BOYS LACROSSE PLAYER OF THE WEEK NOMINEES

*Matthew Yormick, Benedictine (VOTE)
Scored seven goals in a 22-3 win over Akron SVSM.

*Josh Weil, Hawken (VOTE)
Scored four goals in a 13-5 win over Hoban in postseason play.

*Judson Huston, Jr., Delaware Hayes (VOTE)
Junior scored eight goals and had two assists in wins over Hilliard Darby, Big Walnut and Gahanna Lincoln.

*Brennan O’Callaghan, Lakota West (VOTE)
Named first team OHSLA All-Region. Scored 110 points this season (72 goals, 38 assists).

*Andrew Head, Seven Hills (VOTE)
Leads Ohio with 53 assists for the D-II regional semifinalists. Also has 44 goals.

*Paul Columbro, Westlake (VOTE)
Has 49 assists and 35 goals for D-II regional semifinalists.

*Ryan Cass, Kenston (VOTE)
Has scored 55 goals and dished out 25 assists for D-II regional semifinalists.

WEEK 8 BOYS LACROSSE TEAM OF THE WEEK NOMINEES

*Olentangy (VOTE)
The Braves ran win streak to four and advanced to the regional semifinals of the D-I tourney with victories over Westerville North and Thomas Worthington.

*Olentangy Liberty (VOTE)
The Patriots outscored Westerville South and St. Charles a combined 30-2 en route to advancing to the D-I regional semifinals.

*St. Xavier (VOTE)
Bombers ran win streak to five and advanced to the D-I regional semifinals with wins over LaSalle and Centerville by the combined score of 43-3.

*Moeller (VOTE)
Crusaders advanced to the D-I regional semifinals with wins over Lakota East and Sycamore.

*Wyoming (VOTE)
The Cowboys won for the eight time in their last nine games and advanced to the D-II regional semifinals with wins over CHCA and Fenwick.

*Toledo St. Francis (VOTE)
Knights ran win streak to seven with postseason wins over Bowling Green and Sylvania Southview to advance to the D-I regional semifinals.

*Delaware Hayes (VOTE)
Pacers ran win streak to seven with postseason wins over Wellington and Columbus Academy to advance to the D-I regional semifinals.

*Lebanon (VOTE)
The Warriors advanced to the quarterfinals of the club tournament with a 24-1 win over Canfield.
