*All-Ohio Red finished (2-1) in the opening leg of the Nike EYBL this past weekend in Sacramento, California. The boys from the Buckeye state fell short by a point against a very talented California Supreme squad. AOR knocked off a very talented Arkansas Wings squad despite giving up 59 points to Malik Monk.

*The King James Shooting Stars, a notable favorite, limped out of Sac-town with a (1-3) mark. The Shooting Stars were without the services of 6-foot-9 Nate Fowler (Cincinnati Moeller) and Kyle Ahrens (Versailles) is just getting back up to speed following a broken leg.

*The few teams that made the journey to Pittsburgh for the Pittsburgh Jamfest didn’t enjoy much success with the exception of Team Work’s 15U squad, which made the Elite 8.

*The Ohio Basketball Club 17U squad finished (2-3) in Dallas, Texas at the inaugural Adidas Uprising, which is Adidas’ version of the EYBL. Cleveland VASJ’s Carlton Bragg averaged a double-double (16.6 ppg./11 rpg.) according to the event’s website.

*Shaker Height’s Esa Ahmad (6’7/2015) continues to rack up offers as Penn State is the latest school to extend an invite. West Virginia, Wisconsin, Miami (FL), Indiana, Cincinnati, Xavier, UNLV, Iowa State, Dayton, Maryland, Rutgers, and Clemson are some of his notable offers.

*According to his Twitter account, Gahanna Lincoln’s Matt Moyer (6’7/2016) received an offer from UNLV on Monday. Dayton, Virginia Tech, Detroit, Wisconsin, and Ohio have also offered.

*Nick Ward (6’8/2016) of Gahanna Lincoln has received his first offer coming from Miami (OH).

*Myo Baxter-Bell (6’4/2015) of Dayton CJ was offered by St. Francis (PA).

*Ryan Mikesell (6’5/2015) of St. Henry added offers from Ohio and Kent State. Mikesell is a key contributor for All-Ohio Black, who won the 17U Gold Bracket at the King James Shooting Stars Classic.

*Derek Pardon (6’8/2015) of Cleveland VASJ received an offer from Xavier.

*Kahlil Iverson (6’4/2015) of Delaware Hayes notched a pair of offers from UNC Asheville and Bowling Green.

*Xavier Simpson (5’11/2016) of Lima CC picked up his first two offers from Toledo and Cleveland State.

*Lakewood St. Edward’s Kipper Nichols (6’7/2015) got an offer from Xavier following an outstanding junior campaign.

*Dayton Jefferson’s Nate Sheppard (6’4/2014) committed to D2 Malone University.
