As we prepare for our 2014 high school preseason coverage, we are going to take a quick glance at teams from across the state.

Team: Lexington HS
 Ohio Cardinal Conference

2013 Overall Record: 22-5
2013 Conference Record: 12-2
Returning Starters: 4
Returning Pitchers:

Brody Basilone, RHP/OF, 2014 … Committed to Sinclair CC
Zach Temple, RHP/1B, 2014
Nate Arnholt, UTL, 2014
Brennen Tomelleo, IF, 2014
Evan Lee, OF/IF, 2015 … Committed to Kent State
Nick Adams, OF, 2015

Matt Frazier, 3B/1B/RHP, 2016
Cam Trease, OF, 2016
Andrew Iten, OF/RHP/3B, 2016

Although Lexington lost C/OF Zach Sterry (Oakland recruit) to graduation, the Minutemen return plenty of talent in 2014. The team’s top two pitchers, seniors Brody Basilone and Zach Temple, return to anchor the staff. Meanwhile, several position players, lead by junior Evan Lee (Kent State recruit), hope to replicate last year’s offensive firepower. Lexington will battle Ashland, Mansfield Madison, and Wooster as they hope to defend their conference title.
