Trotwood’s Maurice Douglass to be named new Springfield Head Coach?

Reports are circulating that highly successful Trotwood-Madison football coach Maurice Douglass, who has led the Rams to four straight state finals, will be named the new head coach at Springfield.

Posts on Douglass’s Facebook Page offer congratulations to the coach for his new position.

According to the Springfield City School District nothing official will be discussed/released until the next Board meeting which is Thursday, Jan. 23.

Over 45 applicants applied for the Springfield job and Douglass was indeed a finalist.

The GWOC Central just got a whole lot more interesting.

In addition, first team All-CBC QB Saalih Muhammad (transfer from Springfield Shawnee) will have to sit out the first five games in 2014 but will be eligible after that for the Wildcats.
