The Week 3 competition for the Ohio National Guard JJHuddle Ohio HS Girls Basketball Team and Player Of the Week is over. And it was a good one. Over 12,000 votes were cast and this week’s winners are…

ONG JJH Ohio Girls BKB Player of the Week

Week 3 Winner: Emily Thomas, Pickerington North

Scored a career-high 36 points in a 64-45 win over Lancaster. Thomas hit five 3s. Added team-high 16 points in 54-41 win over Grove City.

Week 3 Runner-Up: Indiya Benjamin, Lima Senior

Senior scored 35 points and had nine steals and three assists in an 83-79 loss to Toledo Whitmer. Added game-high 22 points (included five 3s) in 72-64 win over Lima Central Catholic.

ONG JJH Ohio Girls BKB Team of the Week

Week 2 Winner: Eaton

The Eagles improved to 7-0 with wins over SWBL foes Bellbrook (41-33) and Franklin (64-14). Eaton, which already owns wins over Versailles, Lakota East, Oakwood, Monroe and Greenville, is allowing just 29 points per game. It’s averaging 59.

Week 2 Runner-Up: Fairmont

Firebirds have rebounded fro a season-opening loss to Bedford North Lawrence to sin six straight, including four last week over Princeton (63-54), Greenville (64-10), Ursuline Academy (69-50) and Lebanon (65-22). The last three were on the road.
