Rossford football player battling cancer, how you can help

Josh Maas, a senior football player at Rossford High School, was recently diagnosed with testicular cancer. The cancer was detected a week after the season and it has already spread to his lungs and liver. Maas started chemotherapy treatments this past Wednesday and will undergo four rounds of treatments lasting approximately four months.

Said Rossford head coach Todd Drusback: “Josh is a fantastic kid who is determined to stay postive and fight this terrible disease.”

Maas is the second player of Drusback’s in three years to be strickened with cancer. Two years ago, Kerry Keller, lost his battle and now Maas faces one.

To help offset the costs of Maas’ treatments and medical bills there is going to be a fundraiser. Drusback is looking for any auction items or monetary donations that anyone would be so gracious to donate. The time of the event is 12-5 on Dec. 15 at the IBEW 245 Union Hall in Rossford. More information is available in the flyer below.
