*Toledo Central Catholic (14-1, D-II State Champions): The defending D-II state champions have dropped down a division, but they didn’t drop much talent from last year’s team. Senior QB DeShone Kizer (6-5, 216) has committed to Notre Dame and is one of the country’s top prospects. One of his protectors is senior OL Zach Harmon (6-4, 280) has committed to Duke. Senior WR/DB/KR Derich Weiland (5-10,180) is one of the state’s most versatile players and earned All-Three Rivers Athletic Conference honors last year on offense, defense and special teams. *Elida (8-3, Region 10 quarterfinalist): The Bulldogs fell
19-14 to eventual state runner-up Bellevue in the first round of the
playoffs. Elida features one of Ohio’s top DL prospects in senior Chance Weitz (6-3, 250) who has committed to Bowling Green…MORE

*Mentor Lake Catholic (6-4): The Cougars missed the playoffs for just the second time in 14 years last season. Senior QB Dylan Bell (6-1, 180) returns after throwing for 273 yards and two TDs in five appearances under center last year. Bell also ran for a TD and caught a TD pass…MORE

*Napoleon (11-1-1, Region 10 finalist): The Wildcats will build around a pair of standout senior DLs in Bryant Schlade, Napoleon (6-0, 191) and Sam Walker (5-10, 176)…MORE

*Norwalk (7-3): Securing their first winning season since 1977 in 2011, the Truckers are 14-6 the last two years. Graduation took its toll, but talent remains. Look for senior QB/DB Jordan Johnson to take over under center
after catching 20 passes for 607 yards and six TDs last year. Johnson
also completed all three of his pass attempts for TDs and ran for two

*Tiffin Columbian (11-1, Region 6 semifinalist): The Tornadoes
have been to the playoffs 10 of the last 13 years. Expect them to make

are very big and athletic on the offensive and defensive lines and have

*Cleveland Collinwod (0-10): Second-year head coach Greg Wheeler Jr. says the Railroaders are in the midst of a “massive rebuilding effort.” Collinwood played several young players last season and will be junior-laden this year. Numbers are up (40 players
last year after just 21 in 2011) and so are expectations. “Morale is

*Clyde (6-4): The Fliers have a new head coach in alumnus Ryan Carter who is also the school’s head varsity basketball coach.

*Lodi Cloverleaf (3-7): The Colts return one of the sate’s most versatile players in senior

*Mansfield Madison (10-2, Region 6 semifinalist): The Rams lost to eventual state champ Toledo Central Catholic and must replace school single-game and single-season rushing record-holder Kale Huss. Four additional all-district players graduated.

*Maumee (6-4): The Panthers have a new head coach n Marc Gibson who went 70-22 in eight years at Clyde.

*Sandusky Perkins (10-2, Region 10 semifinalist): The Pirates and head coach Jason Zeigler have to replace their QB (22 TD passes) and top two rushers (29 TDs), but they do bring back an outstanding senior
WR/DB in Dale Irby (6-2, 180) who caught 40 passes for 640 yards and 11
