Until then, we’ll wet your appetite with a look at five guys per
position who could be (should be?) on the list. We’ll release a new
position every Tuesday and Thursday up until the Top 100 release on May
1. We continue with LB…which is SO DEEP we’ve listed nine.

THE GIVENS

*Dante Booker Jr., Akron SVSM, 6-3, 215: Ohio State commit.
*Kyle Berger, Cleveland St. Ignatius: Ohio State commit.
*Michael Ferns, St. Clairsville, 6-3, 232: Michigan commit.
*Sam Hubbard, Cincinnati Moeller, 6-6, 215: Ohio State commit

FIVE MORE

5. Airius Moore, Beavercreek, 6-0, 215: GWOC Central Defensive Player of the Year last season after registering 70 tackles, three forced fumbles and two INTs. Had 73 tackles as a sophomore. Doubles as standout and All-Conference PG on basketball team. Holds offers from Illinois, Cincinnati, Indiana and several MAC schools.

6. Chris Frey Jr., Upper Arlington, 6-2, 214: Jack of all trades scored 13 TDs and had 136 tackles last year. Offer sheet includes Syracuse, Northern Illinois, Akron, Toledo, Bowling Green, Kent State, Ohio, Ball State and Western Michigan.

7. Davonte James, Springfield, 6-2, 220: Doesn’t have a ton of offers, but all three are from big-time programs (Purdue, Cincinnati and Georgia Tech). Big games? How about 21 tackles against Centerville and 12 against Wayne last year. Also had a forced fumble, fumble recovery and interception return for a TD in a 21-20 win over Xenia.

8. Verdontae Wilkinson, Trotwood-Madison, 6-3, 235: First team All-GWOC North selection ranked second on the team in tackles (80) last year to Michigan recruit Michael McCray. Big Ten (Illinois) and SEC (Kentucky) schools have offered.

9. Tinashe Bere, Sycamore, 6-1, 225: Already owns one of the more impressive offer lists with Illinois, Purdue, Iowa, Kent State, Bowling Green, Miami of Ohio, Western Michigan, Cincinnati, Duke and Indiana. Two-time All-GMC selection had 110 Tackles, four forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries last season.
