Michigan State has offered over 10 running back prospects in the 2014
class, one of which is planning to be on campus for the first time in
the near future.

Marion (Ohio) Harding three-star running back LJ Scott has been
visiting several schools lately and will be in East Lansing next week.
Scott visited Wisconsin over the weekend and picked up an offer from the
Badgers.

“I’m visiting Louisville this Wednesday, then visiting Michigan State sometime the following week,” Scott said.

The 5-foot-10, 210-pound prospect holds offers from MSU,
Louisville, Indiana, Wisconsin and Kent State. He is also hearing steady
interest from Penn State and Ohio State. MSU assistant coach Mike Tressel has been keeping in touch with Scott and stopped in on his school in January.

“I like Michigan State a lot,” Scott previously told Spartan
Tailgate. “I watched a lot of their games this season and just enjoyed
seeing Le’Veon Bell pound the rock. That’s every running back’s dream,
to be part of an offensive scheme like that where you are the guy. Their
coaching staff is very honest and Michigan State is a place where
smashmouth football still exists. I like that a lot about them.”

With the Spartans looking to sign at least two running backs in
2014, this Ohio native seems to really like MSU’s rushing attack.
Spartan Tailgate is working to get more on Scott and where he stands
with MSU upon his visit to East Lansing.
