2014 Positional Sneak Peek

May is approaching and so is the upcoming 2014 Top 100. Until then, we’ll wet your appetite with a look at five guys per position who could be (should be?) on the list. We’ll release a new position every Tuesday and Thursday up until the Top 100 release on May 1. We continue with the DTs and NGs…

1. Daniel Cage, Winton Woods, 6-3, 245: Big reason the Warriors made a surprising run last year to the D-II Regional Finals and a reason they’ll be expected to contend again this season. Big Ten (Illinois, Minnesota, Indiana, Michigan State) and SEC (Florida, Tennessee) schools highlight his offer sheet.

2. Colt Pettit, Patrick Henry, 6-4, 247: Two-time All-Ohioan has been on the radar since his freshman season. Big Ten (Indiana, Purdue, Illinois) and MAC schools dominate offer sheet.

3. Tito Odenigbo, Centerville, 6-4, 256: Younger brother of Northwestern DL Ifeadi Odenigbo. Tons of potential since he’s only played football for three years. Illinois commit.

4. Ryan Stout, Sylvania Southview, 6-5, 255: Several MAC schools (Toledo, Bowling Green, Akron, Western Michigan, Kent State) are in pursuit.

5. Michael Barwick Jr., Cincinnati Summit Country Day, 6-2, 286: Wildcard. Could become interior OL or remain DL prospect. One thing is for sure – schools want him. Indiana, Bowling Green, Kent State, Toledo and Ball State have offered.
