Minster’s Ethan Wolf, one of the top 2014 tight ends in the state of
Ohio, made his second visit to Michigan State on Friday and walked away
with a scholarship offer from the Spartans.

“I
went up there with my dad and my brother,” Wolf said. “Coach (Mark)
Dantonio offered me right when I got there. He said he liked what he saw
of me on film and he likes some other things too. I kind of thought
they were going to offer from what they had been saying.”

Wolf also visited Michigan State last fall when the Spartans
played Notre Dame, and says he has a number of reasons to be interested
in Michigan State.

“I like the way they use the tight end,” Wolf said. “It suits me
well. They are in the Big Ten. They are at the top of the Big Ten. The
campus is nice. There are a lot of things to like.”

The 6-foot-6 and 221-pound Wolf caught 19 passes for over 400
yards during his sophomore season. He had a huge junior season with 52
catches and 12 touchdowns.

Wolf’s list of scholarship offers includes Michigan State,
Tennessee, Arkansas, Nebraska, Boston College, Indiana, Louisville,
North Carolina State, Pitt, Illinois, Cincinnati, Toledo, Bowling Green
and Ohio University.

“I think Michigan State gives me 19 (offers),” Wolf said. “I
haven’t narrowed it down yet, but Michigan State is definitely in the
mix.”

In addition to Michigan State, Wolf has visited Tennessee, Nebraska, Kentucky, Louisville and Indiana.

“I’m not sure when I’ll decide,” Wolf said. “I’ll get a top five and then I’d like to decide soon after that.”

Wolf is a 3-star prospect in the 247Sports rankings. He is the country’s No. 15 tight end and the No. 28 prospect in Ohio.
