Overview
Four-time defending state champion Shaker Heights Hathaway Brown (21-6) will look to make it five state titles in a row as the Blazers are returning to the Division II state tournament for the seventh consecutive year. Hathaway Brown, which has made it to the championship game every year with runner-up finishes in ’07 and ’08, defeated Canfield 49-34 in its regional final game. The Blazers are led by head coach Paul Barlow and the impressive senior duo of Vanessa Smith (16.5 ppg) and Nia Marshall (15.1 ppg). Undefeated Clyde (27-0) hopes to unseat the reigning state champions behind the effort of its junior standout Amanda Cahill (22.3 ppg). The Fliers, led by 17-year head coach John Cahill, defeated Toledo Rogers, 61-53, in their regional final and are putting up an average of 69.0 points per game, the most in the Division II field. The second Division II game features another intriguing matchup between the 2012 runner-up, Millersburg West Holmes (27-1), and Dayton Chaminade Julienne (19-9). West Holmes is led by head coach Lisa Patterson and its only loss of the season came to the hands of Division IV state finalist, Berlin Hiland. The Knights are led by junior Laina Snyder (16.0 ppg) and are back in the state tournament for the seventh time in school history, with state titles coming in 1984, 85 and 86. The Knights are coming off regional wins against Columbus Bishop Hartley (59-49) and Fairfield Union (59-44). The Knights’ opponent, Dayton Chaminade Julienne, is making its seventh state tournament appearance but first since 2005. The Eagles are led by head coach Mandy Myers and feature a balanced starting five who all average between five and nine points per game. CJ defeated Columbus Eastmoor Academy (54-36) and Dayton Carroll (47-45) in overtime in its regional final tournament trail. – OHSAA

Of Note: The Blazers are making their OHSAA record seventh straight state tournament appearance and have a line-up featuring three D-I recruits in Vanessa Smith (Princeton), Nia Marshall (Cornell) and Stephanie Poland (Colgate). Smith and Marshall have both surpassed 1,000 career points.
Key Player:
Senior W Vanessa Smith (16.5 ppg/7.6 rpg) is averaging 10.1 ppg in six state tournament appearances.

Clyde (27-0)

AP Ranking: 1
Of Note: The Fliers set a school record for wins in a season this year and have won 46 straight Sandusky Bay Conference games.
Key Player:
Junior F Amanda Cahill (22.3 ppg/9.8 rpg/4.2 apg) is already the school’s all-time leading scorer (1,586 points). She’s commited to Indiana.

West Holmes (27-1)

AP Ranking: 3
Of Note: Head coach Lisa Patterson was a member of two of West Holmes’ state championship teams from 1984-86. During that span, the Knights won a state record 108 straight games.
Key Player:
Junior F Laina Snyder surpassed 1,000-career points earlier this season and has 1,159 entering the state tournament.

Chaminade Julienne (19-9)

AP Ranking: NR
Of Note: The Eagles were 9-9 at one point this season after going 1-7 during an eight game stretch that included road losses at Alter, Centerville, Lima Bath, Fairborn, Carroll and McNicholas.  
Key Player:
Senior G Krista White (9.7 ppg/3.3 rpg/3.2 apg) is headed to Kent State.
