MAC, Dayton City stars among early Top 2014 football prospects

The Midwest Athletic Conference and the Dayton City League don’t have a
lot in common. But come this fall, they’ll showcase three of Ohio’s top
senior football prospects. When we release our initial 2014 Top 100 in May, expect these three names to be ranked high.


The Midwest Athletic Conference and the Dayton City League don’t have a lot in common. But come this fall, they’ll showcase three of Ohio’s top senior football prospects.

When we release our initial 2014 Top 100 in May, expect these three names to be ranked high.

*Adam Bertke, Marion Local, 6-6, 205, QB: One scout says he could be the best drop-back passer in the state. Has accounted for 57 TDs the last two seasons, each of which has ended with a D-VI state title. Current Offers include: Illinois, Toledo and Akron.

*Ethan Wolfe, Minster, 6-6, 232, TE: Three-sport standout (basketball and baseball) that has 13 offers including Nebraska, Minnesota, Illinois, Indiana, Pitt, Kentucky and Louisville.

*Vayante Copeland, Thurgood Marshall, 6-0, 183, RB: Has 19 career INTs and ran for 2,058 yards last season. Holds offers from Michigan State, Minnesota, Bowling Green and Toledo.
